"The property setting is absolutely gorgeous with lush tropical landscaping and an incredible view of Arenal Volcano. Our room was outstanding. Large and clean and comfortable with a huge two person jacuzzi and a private patio with table chairs and hammock. The staff was friendly, polite and accommodating. The breakfast included was a lavish and delicious buffet in a beautiful restaurant with a perfect view of the volcano. Loved it. "

"If you are in Costa Rica to be close to nature, Arenal Observatory Lodge is the place to be. The views of the volcano are unbeatable and the massive grounds are teaming with wildlife--birds, coati, monkeys, reptiles. The many on-site trails are beautiful and well kept, and the optional guided tours are great. We did a guided night tour and were amazed by the wildlife we saw, all of which we never would have noticed without the guide. We ate at the restaurant for many of our meals and enjoyed...

"If you are in Costa Rica to be close to nature, Arenal Observatory Lodge is the place to be. The views of the volcano are unbeatable and the massive grounds are teaming with wildlife--birds, coati, monkeys, reptiles. The many on-site trails are beautiful and well kept, and the optional guided tours are great. We did a guided night tour and were amazed by the wildlife we saw, all of which we never would have noticed without the guide. We ate at the restaurant for many of our meals and enjoyed everything, and the staff is extremely friendly. As with many places in Costa Rica, there was no air conditioning in the rooms, but this was not a problem for us in late April/early May and the fan did the trick. I'll miss this place! (PS, don't be alarmed by the long dirt road on the drive in, the end result is worth it.)"
