It was over $600 for a hotel room for the night and it was not properly clean. There ws hair in the shower and in the folded clean towels and Qtips/ cotton swabs left under the coffee maker. There was mildew and mold around the entire perimeter of the shower ceilings.
Hotel was informed they refunded parking and comped 2 coffees as compensation for an unclean room that we couldn't shower in or make coffee in for $610 a night.
Working in hospitality myself im disappointed their policies dont include cleaning the room or even offering to once notified. And or offering a hotel breakfast while our room was cleaned.
I worked for a 3 star vancouver hotel chain head office and our policy was to clean the room and comp breakfast while its cleaned and offer late check out, return 50% of the reservation costs or comp the entire reservation depending on severity of cleanliness issue. This hotel is a higher star rating and double the price per room. I certainly expected more for the exceedly high price tag. Staff was kind and friendly and empathetic my problem is with poor customer satisfaction hotel policy from such a massive conglomerate high end hotel chain that can definitely afford it.
