An alarming number of homeless people and drug addicts in the area, but that's part of being in Vancouver, I guess.

It's unfortunately a complex issue that many cities face. Vancouver has been working on various initiatives to address homelessness and addiction, but there's still much to be done. Hopefully, we'll see more progress in the future.

The most uncomfortable mattress we’ve ever slept on. Also, the walls are really thin, and we were right beside the door to the stairwell, which rattled the room and was super loud every time it opened or closed. We didn’t sleep at all from the two nights you were there. It was certainly one of the worst hotels experiences we have ever had. And was exuberantly expensive. Even in Vancouver.

The full American breakfast was a lie. Always the same breakfast, with no orange or apple juice. No coffee, no muffins, etc. Even the homeless people around the hotel get a better breakfast. Room service wasn’t good enough. We got towels replaced and beds made, but the bathroom was never cleaned up. Products left in the bathroom like shampoo, conditioners, etc, had a very poor quality, too cheap.

I did not like how tiny our room was we could barely get around the bed with our suitcases. The fan in bathroom was super noisy.

Rooms were disgusting, staff was rude and not at all helpful. We hated every second we were there. We left just after an hour and stayed at another hotel because this one was that bad. Staff didn’t help at all and made it worse

Very loud nightclub below the hotel. Loud music didn’t stop until 2 AM, and at that point there was much yelling outside. Especially disappointing since we talked to the front desk earlier in the evening concerned about noise and it wasn’t mentioned at that point. Wouldn’t stay again.

The hotel itself and room were nice, clean and comfortable. However, I had called to ask to check in one hour early. They said they only had one room that would be available at that time, and it would be smaller and on the first floor than the room I booked. I was fine with that, but I did specifically ask if it would be a quiet room as I had early meetings and needed a good nights sleep. I was assured "oh don't worry, sir... very quiet. You will get a good nights sleep guaranteed." Uhhh, no. The room was situated right on Granville Street, across the street from bars, tons of screaming, shouting homeless people, cop cars, ambulances, buses, cars blaring music. I got maybe 2 hours sleep. I would avoid staying here if they are so comfortable knowingly giving customers a terrible stay. It is also in an increasingly unsafe area of Vancouver... tons of homeless people, super dirty and skuzzy part of town. Definitely a disappointing stay, and I won't be booking this hotel again.

The location is great and the staff were really nice/helpful. However the hotel itself is older and not super clean. I ended up paying $400 for a room that was SO small. At the end of the day we were just sleeping there but definitely not worth the price.

The staff were helpful, polite and professional. The hotel is older but we'll situated and within walking distance to everything everywhere downtown Vancouver including all of the restaurants and shops. The room was clean l, well maintained and satisfactory for my needs. I'd book here again in the future.

The hotel is downtown on Granville st within walking distance to a lot of things. However, the hotel is located in a little less appealing area of Granville St. The noise on Saturday night is really bad. There is a bar right downstairs.. you hear people, police, cars, and horns all night. It was fine during the rest of the week except for Saturday. The hotel rooms are definitely outdated, but they are definitely not clean. Please bring shoes to shower in. Bring your own extra sheet as well. The bathroom floor was very sticky and hair all over the tube. Bedding had stains that you could see under the white sheets. Coffee in the lobby was great, very polite staff. Book this online nonrefundable, if I hadn’t, I would’ve left.

It was close to everything. Walkable restaurants and cafes. We stayed there with our 3 kids ages 5-11. We stayed in the suite room. Two queen beds and a sofa bed. It was perfect. The property is old squeaky and a bit smelly. But it makes up for all of that, with its affordablity and convenience to all the tourists site in Vancouver. The breakfast wasn’t my thing but my kids enjoyed it.

Was in for a comedy show and picked the hotel and never stayed at the hotel before. The room was quant the beds were a bit dated but comfortable. I would def stay again the check in service was great and easy and is right in the middle of grandville so it’s easy to walk everywhere and anywhere

Decent stay. Room was small and dated, window onto fire escape and wall. Clean, heater /ac too noisy to use. Breakfast decent. Overall I guess what you’d expect for 175/night in early April but not a bargain.

We stayed for two nights. As we drove up to the parking lot, there were some people using drugs in the back alley. The hotel did have a security guard that patrolled the parking area, but it still felt unsafe. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, it was a very small room. The breakfast was ok. The hotel offered a voucher for breakfast at the restaurant next door. The waitress did not seem to want to help any of the customers and just pointed to the self-serve buffet area.

The front desk tried to charge me again my room even if I’ve already paid for it. When I’ve entered my room, it was already assigned to someone and he was in the bathroom when I realized it! Went back to front desk and they assigned me another room. The compensation: free parking!!! It’s really not enough!

Because of an error made by the staff members, the hotel acted right away, and we provided free parking as compensation. According to our policy, guests will be authorized for incidental deposits upon arrival. As you said, the charges on your credit card were an authorization for incidentals. The property is right next to a nightclub and the neighborhood is not the safest. One of the elevators is extremely old and wabbles when it goes up or down with 1 or 2 people in it. The breakfast was okay, any drinks besides water and coffee is by purchase only. The rooms were extremely clean and tidy.
