Beautiful resort. We spent a day doing 4 different winery tours. We couldn’t wait to get back and have dinner there again. The first night we had dinner and it was off the charts. Insanely good and Pablo is an outstanding waiter. Actually, all the waiters were phenomenal. We’ll definitely stay there again.

Hotel is great, restaurant food is great. Place is well kept and maintained. Dirt roads to most of these places, plan to visit after a few weeks the rain has past. Small cars can get easily trapped in the mud. We have a Subaru Ascent which was a tremendous help.

Thank you for your kind review, we have only about less then a half mile dirt road coming to our hotel and we are constantly trying to upkeep it. After all Balle de Guadalupe is a rural area

Perfect first stay in Valle de Guadalupe
My wife and I booked 3 nights at Ojo Azul on a whim. It was our first time in Valle de Guadalupe and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Ojo Azul is a beautiful hotel with great service, and lively entertainment. They had live music on Friday and Saturday night which was a lot of fun. It was very loud (even from our room) and ran late into the night so, if you want a quiet mellow hotel, you might want to check their entertainment schedule before booking. We loved it. The restaurant is good. You get a free continental breakfast of yogurt with fruit which was surprisingly VERY good. We also tried the chilaquiles verdes and huevos rancheros which were good. The service at their restaurant is excellent. We were not interested in booking all day wine tours so the hotel was able to find a driver that could take us to restaurants in the evenings. It was expensive so I suggest trying to haggle if you can.

Maravillosa estadía, el staff es amigable, las instalaciones bien conversadas, las habitaciones con vista al viñedo, wow. Las amenidades de la habitación están completas, la cama es súper cómoda y los blancos muy suaves. La comida del restaurante exquisita al igual que las bebidas. Alejandro fue muy amable y atento en las 2 ocasiones que consumimos en la alberca y restaurante. El único detalle sería que las bicicletas les urge mantenimiento, solo 2 servían a medias y las demás estaban ponchadas, sucias, oxidadas.

Hi Rodolfo, sorry for your experience, you were given the owner’s, a double queen spacious room for the night only at 115 so you would not be without a room for the night since we were sold out! You still had access to everything in the resort. Your late reservation was the problem and we thought we were doing you a favor since all the hotels were full. Our bad!

This is the third time I have stayed at Ojo Azul. I do love it hear but this time it seemed too busy. No one came to clean our room, hot tub never had room in it, and the band plays sooooo loudly until 11pm. We like to party and have fun, but we were in the room right next to the restaurant and it was so loud and the music was decent, but not until 11 at night. There’s also that horrible septic smell around the rooms that is usually tolerable but not this time. Room 101 is not the room you want. Don’t think we’ll be staying again unfortunately.

hi Deijasorry for your bad experience, we were full all week end for the Memorial weekend, and your room was not cleaned because since covid we will not go into the rooms unless it is indicated by our guests. As far as the music, we do advertise it on our website and let our guests know about it. We did start moderating it after 10pm. Hope we can have you guys back again for a more pleasant experience.

I recommend you not stay here as they have unethical business practices. We arrived during a storm, and our room nearly flooded. The property was severely flooded in many areas, including a large pond at the entrance to the parking lot. While I don't blame them for the situation, I hold them responsible for offering a safe space. We unequivocally felt unsafe and decided to leave a night early from our reservation. After five attempts to resolve this through Hotels.com and an unanswered email to the hotel directly, we received word from Hotels.com that the hotel was holding firm to their "cancellation policy" and chose to fleece us instead of doing what was fair. A deeply disappointing experience I wouldn't wish on anyone.

hi Dulcinea, at no point you and other guests or our 70 employees were ever in danger. You were the only guests who decided to leave maybe for another reason but decided to use the rain as excuse. We at Valle de Guadalupe live or die by the rain. It is the most important factor for the sustainability of our vines. We have rain collecting systems and all that water you took pictures of were directed to our rain water collecting system. Our people were pumping the water in the parking lot all the time and it was never deeper than maybe an inch. It is sad to see people who don’t know anything about agriculture or sustainability making such claims for money. At the end you have lowered yourself to a hater for few hundred dollars and blamed the us for the acts of our mother nature. I hope you find peace in your heart!

This property would not allow me to cancel my reservation due to testing positive for COVID only 15 hours after the cancellation period. Expedia even tried to help me and the hotel had zero flexibility and i ended up having to pay the full booking amount although i am not able to travel. Zero flexibility and zero care for potential customers.

We had a last minute trip to Guadalupe. The property was beautiful and the staff was incredibly attentive. The breakfast was okay but the wines and dinner were really good . The property is towards the end of a very rutted dirt road past some not so picturesque homes. If your car has low clearance be warned. That being said we never felt unsafe and the rooms were amazing. Definitely plan on going back sometime.
