"Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather."

"Great breakfast and dinner. Had hot issues and they moved us to an upgrade bubgalow which then had air conditioning issues. They offered to move us again to correct situation which was appreciated."

"The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again."

"We went for our honeymoon and it was stunning from the moment we arrived! I kept looking for the White Lotus film crew because the property, room, and staff were top notch and we felt like we were in a WL episode. Surreal views, flora, fauna, service and the room with our own private pool remains undefeated! We stayed in a Chato Suite and it was unbelievable.
