"This hotel was the one we stayed in before our flight to the US the next day. There was a quick check in. They had a garage to park the rental car. The suite was ample. No air conditioner. It had fans and we opened the windows. That part was a bit uncomfortable since a train passes by like every 15 minutes. It was very loud. Thank God it stopped going by before bedtime. The hot breakfast was good: eggs, sausage, rice, toast, fruit, drinks. The hotel was close to restaurants and malls."

"This is a well maintained boutique hotel filled with charm. It's not polished and reflects flavor of Costa Rica. Money well spent. But you can also hear the commuter trains in the morning."

"This hotel is really charming with a nice arquitectural style and cozy rooms. In comparison to other hotels I stayed at in San José this place takes the cake mainly because of the owners. A husband a wife who are incredibly caring kind warm and gave me great advice on food for dinner and breakfast while I stayed. Not only that but they were incredibly understanding about my flight being later the day of my check out and said it wasn't a problem at all. Unfortunately on Expedia some of the information is incorrect due to the new ownership but honestly it didn't bother me at all because of how kind and friendly the owners are. It is a husband and wife that work really hard to take care of the place and meet the needs of their guests. Truly it felt like a home away from home and was a really incredible place to stay while I transitioned into going back to the U.S. I definitely want to stay here again when I come back to San José in the future. Quiet clean amazing service beautiful architecture nice rooms bathrooms etc. I could not recommend it enough!"

"I was in San Jose for work for 3 weeks. The apartment was nice and comfortable, but seemed a little less new than the picture. I would have enjoyed having a table to eat/work at. However, the location is great, although a little noisy due to the busy street and train nearby. Also, the owner and the staff were amazing and very helpuful, especially the houskeeper Mary who was kind and kept the place clean. Overall a good experience and I recommend it."
