Could not sleep - Bad Mattresses
"The apartment was clean but the actual beds were disgusting . They were like sleeping on a plank of wood . If one cannot sleep then the you have a terribble night . Paying good money to sleep on a hard piece of wood . This hotel needs to invest in comfortablw beds otherwise they should close ..."

"This stay was a complete nightmare. The premier room we rented has not done any maintenance for the last 5 years. The state of the room was dismal. complete rubbish. I will email photos on demand, take this property off your list"

We were recommended uMhlanga by friends as a safer and fancier option to the Golden Mile. It was pleasant, we had a great curry at Incredible India and spent some time at the pier.

The Umhlanga beach area is excellent good shops bars and restaurants. It felt safe with no beggars or street sellers unlike Durban. Would definitely return but maybe stay in a hotel nearer the beach area.
