"Check in was perfect. The lady at the front desk had great suggestions for dinner and breakfast. The lobby was clean, not a lot of clutter. Floors had faux wood floors so no need to worry about sandy feet etc. This is the beach! Same for in the room. Newer walk in shower with rain head and handheld. AC worked well and kept the room at the desired temp. Refrigerator re-froze the ice bricks and kept the bottled water cold. The pool was close and clean. Parking was plentiful and at least posted for guests only.
Overall I say WELL DONE! this is not a luxury hotel nor is it a flea bag dump, but it is clean and the staff is friendly. I thought it was a good value for the money I paid. I would say if you are going to Tybee this is a good choice!"
"The Dunes at Tybee Island is my go-to hotel. The place is old but very well maintained. The beds are very comfortable, and the air conditioning is nice and cold after a long day at the beach. The kitchen is a huge bonus, but restaurants are within walking distance. The pier and beach are a few blocks from your door. The pool is just steps from your room and so clean and refreshing. The staff are so helpful. Joy at the front desk is so nice. Floors get wet and sandy from kids in and out; you need a microfiber floor mop, or you are constantly getting towels dirty and wet."
"This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. We will be staying there again. Location is great, close to a beach access that is much less crowded than the rest of the island."
"Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff. Would have given it a 5 star but parking was horrible. The spots are to close together. To the point my husband had to get in the passenger seat and crawl over to the driver seat because you could not even walk between our car and the one next to us. The spaces have little to no room to get in and out of the car."
