First was the wait for the service desk (20 min) Then was the wait to get our keys (20 min) Then was the guy with a leaf blower blowing cement dust over EVERYTHING and then we lost power for over an hour.
This place is a dump. Thete is mo breakfast. Don't stay there.

The property was really close to the caverns. That was the main reason for our stay. The rooms were not the cleanest and out dated but was great for what we needed it for.

Don't waste your money
Location was ok since I was not familiar with the area. The room neat but smelled and it was not a musty smell either. No towels, washcloths, or bath mat. Had to track down cleaning person. Was told not enough linens to leave in all rooms. Had to wait until following day for a bath mat. Soap was left in the shower from previous tenant. Very small refrigerator was filthy, ice box's ice was brown. Carpeting had multiple cigarette burn holes and was filthy. Wore my socks and had to throw them away because they turned black after walking on the carpet. Air conditioner smelled horrible. Was kept up late Friday night because of police and rescue squad outside my room. Will not ever stay there again. Wasted money.
Charge was $89.95/night when it is normally $39.95/night due to some music festival we were not attending in the area, Although the beds were clean the whole place smelled of some air-freshener mto cover up the stale smoke smell. The shower area was poorly repaired and sloppy looking so none of us felt good about showering in the morning. The free breakfast was nothing more than coffee, juice and individually packaged danish you can buy at a gas station, not to mention that they were almost out of coffee at 8 am and not willing to make more. The coffee maker in the room was broken and the place was noisy. I wouldn't stay here again if they paid me.
My wife and I have stayed here several times over the years, for three or four days and sometimes for as much as a week. It's an older motel, but clean, and our room for this last stay was as always quite comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their WiFi was more than adequate for browsing the web, although I never tried to do any HD streaming, so I can't vouch for that. There are plenty of great places to eat close by, and quite a few attractions in the Monteagle area.
This is decent hotel for this price range!
The beds were very comfortable and clean, the water was hot in the shower and the people were nice. We are staying again next week on our trip home!
Great price clean room and quiet. That was what I was looking far and that was what we found. Not the easiest to find. We were in and out with a Deneen hour stay and would do it again

Adequate but "Breakfast" of coffee mini muffin and OJ was less the adequate
Hotel was booked for family member fleeing Irma. Pleasant stay with pet-friendly non-smoking room. Manager was very gracious & understanding in last minute booking, ect, that results from emergency travel. Thank you Sir!
The hotel was full of mold, literal blood stains in the carpet.. the owners cheated me out of money and wouldn't let me cancel my second day. I tired to cancel both upon arrival ( I booked two days online while evucating a hurricane) the first day they wouldn't let me cancel due to me arriving after 5 they said.... So I said fine cancel the second. No problem, do it at check out the owner tells me, then at check out he says it's too late for a refund even though I tired to cancel the day before. Just terrible. Also their sign days 34.95 but during a hurricane it's 110.

It is a nice clean and affordable hotel to stay in. It has been renovated through the years. We have stayed at this hotel every year for the last 11 years while visiting our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids and will probably continue to stay there as long as my daughter lives in Monteagle.
This motel exceeded expectations. All the amenities you can expect for the affordable price. The price was economical, the wifi worked well, the amenities and cleanliness were above par. If I really wanted to nitpick, I'd mention the lack of an ironing board. The office staff did lend out an iron, but was mighty difficult to iron without the board. Nonetheless, the area seems fairly safe; good lighting in the room and in the parking lot. I stayed for one night part of a leg of my trip to Nashville. I wouldn't mind staying there again.
Had to get a room, nothing else available. Smokers room, everything is worn out , very old.... But there were no bugs and the ac worked well. Price was high considering state of room.
they claimed my Expedia reservation had been cancl
I showed up with my Expedia conformation in hand. they said it had been canceled due to my credit card being denied. But the had a room for $17.00 more I could get.
When I walked out they cut the price by $10.00. they are a rip off

Below average
I would not recomment booking a room here.
Only if you are desperate .
This motel is directly behind another motel which looks much nicer. It was very shabby and not terribly clean and does not have very many customers because of its scary appearance. Most offensive was that the odor of the room (from an overdose of horrible air freshener) was so terrible that I had to have the room changed (and the second one had the same problem to a lesser degree) by a fairly nice employee. This is not exaggeration, as a little air freshener is fine and doesn't bother me. Here, the horrible fumes were noxious and intolerable. There are one or two other motels very close by which look MUCH better on the outside, but clearly would have cost more. In this case it would have been smarter to choose the more expensive accommodation. This motel is in the middle of nowhere on the top of a mountain which may explain quite a bit. If you have to go here, choose a more expensive accommodation.
