The Redlight offers clean and affordable lodging in downtown Truckee. Our prices are the most economical in the area and we have a variety of room options, from bunk rooms to a studio apartment. The bunks are custom designed by the owner in Pullman style, each enclosed with its own reading light, lock box, power outlet, and privacy curtain. Our current selection of XL Twin mattresses, the Dreamfoam Bedding Doze rated on Amazon at 4.6 / 5 with 800 reviews, are topped with microfiber sheets. Even prior to Covid we sanitized our bathrooms with the CDC approved disinfectants that we use now. Each of our five communal bathrooms have showers in them, and we have signage to remind guests that there are bathrooms on other floors in case those closest to them are occupied. If you have the budget and are looking for a more standard hotel experience, Truckee has many other options such as the Best Western and Ritz Carlton.

Parking in downtown Truckee is free from 6pm to 10am, and metered during the day. Between May and November, parking is available anywhere on the street or in the public parking lots across the street from our building (both during the day and overnight). We do have printed parking maps and guidelines available upon request, and our staff is reachable by phone 24/7. Don't hesitate to call for assistance any time.
