"This is a beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings and the staff were so helpful especially the guy in the bar who gave us tips where to go and eat if we chose eat out. I wish I could remember his name, he was an older member of staff and so helpful. The lunch menu was reasonable and the food looked delicious as was breakfast. "

"This is a quaint two bedroom property all on one floor with a well stocked kitchen and large bathroom & shower. Barry, the owner, is very helpful & friendly. I would thoroughly recommend it. It’s not the Ritz but hey how many people stay there!! Central for St Albans & 15 min walk to City Railway station. "

"The property is not located where advertised. It claims to be 1 minute away from the waterside theatre and therefore not far from the train station. This was very important to me and my wife who were travelling with several heavy bags and needed to be very close to both and this is the exact reason we booked it. However, it turns out it’s around 25 minute walk away from the theatre! As a result, we had to take a couple of Ubers back and forth and thought it only fair the host covers the cost...

"I saw lots of complaints on reviews but gave it a chance as it was very cheap. Basically - you get what you pay for, and a bit more. For £45 - £20 deposit I got a reasonable room with coffee making facilities and very good service. I would stay again as it was so cheap and really friendly staff. Many thanks"

"One night stay at the property before our flight from Heathrow Airport, lovely place and facilities for what our family of 4 needed. Food at the restaurant was outstanding especially the Sunday roast definitely recommend the property and restaurant and would use the property in the future as Heathrow Airport was close by and easy to access. "

"We felt that the room was not cleaned properly, we found hairs on the bedding and in the bathroom, more attention needed, the room was light and airy, basic provisions of fridge, shared bathroom although we didn’t see any other guests when we stayed."

"The property is not as described. It’s a room in a house with shared facilities throughout. Amenities are few with no basics in the room such as a radio or TV. The property listing said ‘pillow menu’. Hmm. The room I had looked nothing like the photos and upon arrival, I checked out the room, and bathroom, and decided to leave. I booked a room elsewhere instead and did not complete my stay. The 10 x emails, 4 x text messages and 1 x phone call all regarding the booking is excessive and...

"We hadn’t anticipated sharing this space with other people as it does state on the details that ‘you will only share the apartment with others from your party’. Fortunately all other guests were very respectful of space. Continental breakfast options were interesting but it wasn’t clear what was definitely for our use and what belonged to others. Overall, a nice stay in a nice location. "

"Well, what can I say is no service it was North to your coffee I had a crack sink in the bathroom and Nobody come and clean the room at all in the four days so I will not be staying at our place ever again and should have a chat with them regarding on it"

"Excellent location for visits to Windsor, Eaton and Slough town centre. Entire booking and check-in experience was seamless. Apartment is very accessible and secure with digital locks at the gate and front door. Overall I’d recommended staying here, but the only negative was the beds. The mattresses were as hard as a rock and pillows were poor quality"
