"If you are going to TC The Cherry Tree Inn is a great place to stay. It is on the water and close to town. So it is great if you love the water. The staff is friendly and helpful. Chef does a great job with breakfast. The Inn has great views of the bay. The chery chocolate coffee is yummy."

"The staff was very friendly and accomodating when we had questions regarding the hotel itself and the area. Both of the ladies we encountered in the breakfast dining area were well versed in the areas that most tourists were anxious to see. They & desk staff were very helpful with directions and reccomendations. We stayed in a Business suite room to have the living area and bedroom/ bath separate. With one of us being an early riser and the other, not so much, that helps a lot. The pricing of that unit was not so much more expensive that it seemed frivolous either. We did not use the pool or hot tub, but the area appeared clean and is a nice feature to have. The hotel is located on the very busy main thoroughfare running across the south end of the bays. To be walking and try to get to the other side of the road (the water side) was a distance between crosswalks & too dangerous to do without being at one. We had bikes with us and there was access from the back of the property onto a section of the TART trail. That was convenient & safe. Location wise, I might prefer to stay in the Old Downtown where there are many restaurant choices & shopping. Again, that was a balancing act with price. Overall this was a comfortable, clean choice with a location not too far from attractions we were interested in."

"We like the location and parking is simple. The cleaning staff is excellent- friendly, hardworking and a lot is expected of them beyond job of housekeeping, as no one else is around. The hotel is very clean. The front desk is not “ manned”, though lovely to look at upon arrival. The “ computer” access is unavailable as the printer has no paper and keyboard is locked down. Not available at either of our stays. Breakfast is not what we expected. Cold cereal, cold eggs sealed in a bag with an October expiration date?! And previously frozen, dried pastry. Not fit for anyone.Disappointing. With so many great options to be healthy and “ unique” , why not offer a small and wonderful way to break fast? Highlight was Vietnamese pour-over room coffee!! It was amazing & great surprise! Also loved the availability of washer & dryer!"

"Comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Hot breakfast. Keurig in room. Extra thick towels. Fire pit, gazebo with table, grill available to use. Nice private clean beach with beach chairs. Landscaping beautifully maintained on property. Front desk polite and helpful. Would stay again!!"

"OJ from the staff was awesome. Extremely kind and was taking care of everything the front desk, breakfast and evening cookies. He also communicated throughout our stay via text extremely professional and organized. Only complaint we have is the traffic was load we were in a room in a outside door enterense hallway and the traffic was very load but we highly recommend this hotel."

"The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. We didn’t have a beach view, but we sat and enjoyed it each morning and evening. There are so many places to go, in and around Traverse City. It was a beautiful escape and we traveled and walked around the Old Mission Peninsula and the Leleanau"
