"Lack of shops or restaurants within walking distance was the only downside. Room (executive king) was very nice with bonus view of Sydney skyline and a rugby field just below the building. Basic kitchen. Washer and dryer. "

Pretty neighborhood; and the Miranda mall is a very short walk away. We would absolutely stay there again. Price is very modest. Staff was super nice and helpful!! "

"Mortdale Hotel is an older property that has been renovated in the recent past. It appears the hotel is a secondary business. The desk is the bar on the main floor, not a problem. They were helpful and efficient checking us in. The commuter train runs by the hotel but the trains are quite quiet. I didn’t hear the trains unless I was awake. "The staff was very helpful and kind..professional but personable. The location of this property is sketchy, and I did not feel safe outside after dark. Alot of trash and unkept grounds, signs of homeless. Rooms are pretty small. It's a quick 10 minute walk to Mascot station but if it was after dark I always used a cab. They say the airport transfer is free but that only applies from hotel to the airport, not vice versa. But the fee was only $10, so still a deal. Drivers and people running...

"We stay due to location but they take advantage of this - fairly poor service with little care, rooms are ok, food options poor and expensive, beds comfortable but the room mini bar is glass fronted and therefore shines light into the room all night "

"I have stayed here twice and I am planning to stay again soon. It is extremely convenient to the Sydney International Airport - 7 minute drive. There is parking on site and the continental breakfast included is excellent. There is also a ‘hot’ breakfast option for $15! I stayed in a ground level room which was spacious, near, clean and everything worked. The bed was super comfortable and the aircon was quiet and effective. "1.the handbasin in the ensuite has a stuck plug. Water remained in the bowl for 4 days 2. No black tea in the outside area, only herbal tea 3 there was no hot water this morning on my last morning. Had to have a cold shower 4. I couldn’t change the temperature on the room airconditioner. 25 degrees was too hot for me. "

"Staff are always lovely and welcoming. Our second bedroom was locked but they sent maintenance straight up to our room to open it up. Even with the planes overhead, the rooms are very quiet and no need for the ear plugs that are provided."

"Beautifully redecorated rooms, with plenty of space for families and stunning views of the water. Restaurants and bars really well appointed, and centrally located for a staycay that feels beachy whilst easy access to the city. The bar is quite noisy on fri/sat as filters into the beachfront rooms, generally OK but harder when travelling with kids. Some fabulous staff and a few less so, hence the 4/5 for that."
