All the Reception staff were very friendly and helpful to me, an interstate visitor The room and bathroom was large and clean and the big surprise was the Nespresso coffee machine I would definitely stay here again should I find myself visiting Townsville in the future

Clean and tidy accommodation with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were very helpful and polite. Only downfall was the on-site car parking. It was difficult to park a larger car in the allotted spaces available. Appart from this, my family and I found the Clarion to be a great place to stay in Townsville.

Quiet, very clean and modern apartment with good bed and bathroom facilities. Very friendly staff. Private off street parking is a bonus but the parking is very tight if you drive a larger vehicle like a Land Cruiser. Overall highly recommended.

Disappointed paid $250 for king bed with tub…no tub, no cafe, no bar, no room service. Changed hands a few months ago and old owners took everything apparently. No microwave or toaster in room, just a kettle. Extremely basic for the high price. Was great to have a cup, teabag and milk to have a cuppa. Room was clean & bed comfy but very overpriced

The location was great, staff very friendly, however the bath was dirty (had a black ring around it) the shower gel container was empty, the basin was dirty and there was only one bath towel for 2 people. The bed was extremely soft so we both woke up with sore backs.

The rooms were a good size however the property had a terrible odour. The shower broke in our room and although reported it was not fixed as was a broken toilet roll holder. The room lighting was very dark and insufficient. Location was ok for what we had to do, the staff, when available were helpful. Would not stay again

location is brilliant walking distance from most restaurants the strand etc My only complaint is the Outside private Car park it's very unsatisfactory if you're in a big vehicle trying to get out. You will notice vehicle's have scrapped against the building previously

Arrived early and was checked in straight away. Given a good overview of hotel services as well as advice on local attractions and services. Room service was exceptional and they confirmed with me for any concerns. There were none. I liked the direct line to the Taxi's and they were a very prompt service. I offered suggestions when checking out and they were noted... Not merely acknowledged

The room, carpeted, smelled musty and everything was not spotless. It was impossible to open the windows to air out the room, and the air conditioner was slightly noisy. We slept poorly, especially because of the smell, and were really disappointed. However, the reception staff were very friendly.

The Caring Clarion

I have loved the Clarion since my very first stay, a couple of years back. I consider them to offer a high level of customer service provided by the on Duty Manager/Reception and overall quality of the hotel and the spacious rooms/design/layout. This is why it's one of my favourite hotels in Townsville and why I keep returning. I always choose a bath also.. i like them so much that I wouldn't submit any negative feedback online but would rather notify them in-house. There is none by the way... It's also convenient having an adjoining restaurant with Greek food and branded coffee. The only thing I will add is for them to please bring back the cleaning product that had a sweet cinnamon type fragrance that reminded me of a Christmas fragrance.. it's preferred over bleach 😉.

Very convenient location, shops are in walking distances and close to the airport. The A/C unit in the room was quite old and struggling to reduce room temperature. The water pressure in the shower was quite low, they may need to look into it and fix. Breakfast may not be available on public holidays.

Nice central comfortable hotel

We stayed for one night and were pleased with the location, amenities and nice friendly service. The room was well set up with a foyer area that had a pod coffee machine and sink. The aircon worked well, there was a large TV, and free Internet. The beds were very comfy and overall it was spacious. They do need to improve the lighting tho, it was very gloomy in the main living area over the table and desk. There was good lighting at bedside but even a free standing lamp with bright LED bulbs would fix it for the rest of the room.
