Very clean hotel ! Preferred bigger room but it doesn’t come with opened unblock view, so room is too small for 2pax. Saw another new Toyoko Inn hotel opening on 10-10-2024. Should I come Tottori again, will book the new hotel IF bigger room is with opened unblock view.

This Toyoko Inn has several kinds of onigiri 🍙 rice balls for breakfast just as on their photos unlike others who served plain white rice in the rice cookers. Coin laundry’s dryer was cheaper than other locations. Better quality than Kansai area’s Toyoko we used.

Worth the price

It is just located south of the Tottori station and it only took 3 to 5 minutes to walk over there. Free breakfast including mainly origini or rice ball of different types, drinks and soup are provided between 0630 to 0900. Different types of amenities such as toothbrush and razor could be obtained at the lobby, there are 2 washing machines and 2 dryers at the lobby as well. I will definitely visit again if I visit tottori next time.

Japanese style breakfast

I stayed for two nights. There was no bed making or cleaning after the first night, as was told at the check-in. It was fine with me, as I had no worry about anyone coming into my room during day. The room was clean from the beginning. The linen and towels for the second night were left on the door knob. The breakfast buffet was designed for traditional Japanese guests (rice, fish, picked veggies, miso soup). These were very reasonable to the Japanese guests, except me who wished bacon and eggs (American or UK style dishes) in spite of my Japanese background. I could not find a switch for the ceiling light. The other lights were easy to control. I slept with the ceiling light on as I often do at home. Toyoko Inn sign was big and tall, and was easy to locate from the JR tottori station south gate. But as I neared the likely building, I lost the sign of Toyoko Inn. I could not find the entrance for the Hotel even though I was in front of the front entrance. Somehow, eye-level signs are missing for this particular building.

二人で宿泊しました。部屋は清潔で贅沢をしなければ十分なクオリティーです。朝ご飯もおにぎりと味噌汁、サラダもあり快適に過ごすことができました。 この日は大雪でしたが、ホテルに雪かき道具があり、車に積もった雪も下ろすことができました。こういった備品の貸し出しがあるのも大変ありがたいです。
