Loved the room, it was a comfy bed and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were helpful, chatty and very welcoming. We had breakfast most days and lunch on the day we didn’t in the pub downstairs and Alex even remembered what sauce we liked! The pub had a fab atmosphere, the food was lush and the cocktails were gorgeous. Would definitely stay again 💕❤️😍
My friend and i had a room each.
Both clean and well equipt. My friends room was a little bigger than mine.
I would recommend to stay there if in the area.

Avoid room 1
Just had 2 nights in room 1 .. Never again . Who in there right mind puts 4 floodlights directly outside the bedroom windows and leave them on until midnight . The curtains are a waste of time , it needs blackout blinds at least . The room is also roasting hot due to the ( lovely ) large windows.. however , due to the horrendous noise from the high street the windows were needed to be kept shut . Absolutely awful room to stay in . Definitely not worth tbe money . I think we probably managed 4-5 hours sleep over the 2 nights .
The pub its self is ok , good food and beers . But the weekend was ruined by the room
Room was cosy and good size. However we didn’t have a great nights sleep as every hour or so a noisy fan or boiler kicked in somewhere near which woke us up. Windows quite thin too so noisy from outside. Good facilities, room had a few areas which needed cleaning (big stain on wall, very dusty bathroom extractor fan) but good location and absolutely lovely staff, just shame we didn’t manage to get a good sleep.

Comfortable and friendly but let down by mould!
The only room on the night available in Totnes. Friendly reception and room was warm and the bed comfortable but single glazed windows, noisy neighbours and a serious mould problem such that my asthmatic son (not the one travelling with me) would have had to leave the room. The pub seems to have an excellent choice of food and beer but was too crowded with no seats so we went elsewhere. Sort out the deficient cleaning and the room would be acceptable - see photos of mould on window frame and around bath.
I love the location, right in the heart if the city.Access to shops and food great. Only thing for me was it was a bit noisy as my room was just above the pub.
The beautiful room picture on website neared absolutely no resemblance to actual room . The actual room stunk extremely bad of cigarette smoke , stains on carpet , bathroom was just not acceptable , black mould all around the bath and tiles . The actual shower was very old , shower curtain that stunk too .
It was soo bad I did not stay !
The bedding was very cheap , nylon type quality .
I asked if there was another room and was told all rooms booked .

Dreadful
Bed, worst I have slept in, please throw away the mattress.
Bathroom, horrible, black mould, dusty, shower curtain eeeuuw! Rip it out and start again. Bad smell, and toilet completely loose.
Very noisy with windows open, necessary because heating would not turn off. Smoking outside the bar so all smoke came in the windows. No sleep due to noise. Please do everyone a favour and do t sell Room 3 until refurbished!!

Simple, basic room above a pub.
This is a very basic room above a pub - it doesnt claim to be anything different.
Yes, there is noise, sadly we were woken at 5.30am by someone doing a delivery in the street - but that is always part of the trade of a central location.
The bed wasnt for us, it was one of those super soft mattresses that feels good to lay on but you know will leave you walking like an octogenarian the next day.
Room itself is fine, the bathroom however is in some real need of attention, care and probably ripping out and redoing.
This room provided value for money in comparison to other near by establishments, but even at £75 the facilities were sparse.
Although, putting hot chocolate and some biscuits out is a nice touch.
We were in room 3, which I'm presuming are the non modernised rooms.
Id absolutely stay again if going for a drink, but not the type of room to book for a good nights sleep.
Everything was fine. I think that the room had been freshly decorated. Good electric shower. Comfortable bed. A few toiletries some of which we did not use. WiFi was not very strong.
