Ideal place for Faroes visit

Loved our stay here. Not fancy but comfortable and clean. Our “larger room with sea views” had stunning views over the harbor and the city. Great location by the harbor and close to the ferry terminal where the #300 airport bus terminates, along with other buses for island exploration.

A nice hotel located in the heart of Tórshavn. Close to 90% of sights within the city, including Old Town. Rooms are small and the shower drains into a flat surface bathroom, inconvenient. The staff is AMAZING and very polite and helpful.

This was my second time at Hotel Torshavn, perfect for a week hiking and exploring in the Faroes, ideal small room for one person, no reception, not needed, good brekfast in room which turns into a separate Oriental Restaurant later.

This place is more like a boarding house than a hotel. Everything’s a DIY. The location is great because it’s right on the harbour and all the sights in Torshavn are close. The tourist information office is close and there are many restaurants nearby. The people staying in the room above mine must have had a club foot because I could hear every step they make.

Everything was perfect! The cleanliness, the service, the breakfast. (Even though there was no vegan options, i made it work with the fruit and sliced bell peppers.) Close to the harbour. Decent breakfast (but no fish or lamb!). Large room. Comfortable beds. Very small and dirty bathroom. Will probably find another hotel next time.

this hotel is ideally situated within walking distance from the ferry and the information centre. the hotel does not have staff 24 hours a day which has proved a little difficult during the current labour strike. breakfast was good everyday. the hotel was relatively quiet but with the window open, one does hear the surrounding activities. safe area close to the harbour and very attentive and engaging feont desk staff who answered all my questions and helped out where necessary

Although they state the front desk is staffed, I arrived at 6:00pm and no one was there. I waited quite awhile then had to check in by phone. The rest of my stay was just fine, my room was clean and the location is great.

What I like most is the location of the hotel in the centre of Torshavn. Although the bathroom/shower is small, but everything functions well - no leaking and clean. I received the room number and key code to the room in advanced via email but still I get nervous and anxious when there is nobody to speak to at the registration counter, but this is not a major issue as there is a phone at the counter which automatically connects to a staff who will assist if needed.

Ok but I wouldn’t want to return.

This is a 3 star hotel charging 4 star prices. The bathroom was in fact a wet room the shower was not enclosed just a curtain that meant the floor of the rest of the bathroom including around the toilet was wet for most of the day. I booked the small single room. The bed was too soft and I needed a second pillow which was promptly provided. Two small bottles of water were provided free. Breakfast is included but choices are limited (cereals, yogurt, ham, cheese boiled eggs with bacon alternating with small sausages). Instant Coffee is served from flasks There was a bar but it never seemed to be open and seemed loosely connected with Hvonn the Asian restaurant upstairs which is where breakfast is served. The hotel is excellently situated and that is the best thing going for it. I wouldn’t stay here again.
Bed was very soft.
The shower is not enclosed and is behind curtain which means floor is always wet.
