"The staff were incredibly helpful. One of them, in Picton before we got on the ferry, told us how to see the bioluminescence, which was fantastic. The young man who took us around to feed the animals and the marine biologist who told us about the marine life on the viewing platform were incredibly knowledgable. The room was pretty and we had a good view if we sat outside. We also loved the hammocks and the glow worms."

"Amazing apartments overlooking the marina and just minutes to the interislander ferry! The apartment was spotlessly clean, the bed was super comfortable and all amenities were provided. So close to a range of restaurants and bars. Highly recommended! "

"Out of all the places we stayed during our three weeks on the South Island, Ratanui Lodge provided the best service and hospitality. Firstly, the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much for them and the two ladies we dealt with went out of their way to give recommendations and ensure our stay was fantastic. "Great location. Comfortable room, clean room. We used the central laundry facilities which were reasonably priced and convenient. Staff was super helpful."

"The little kitchen area was nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant on site and it was very good. The little pizza place a block or so away was fantastic. The laundry room was perfect and soap was included. The beds were comfortable and even with open windows it was quiet. The early morning birdsong was lovely. This hotel is nicer than the pictures and description!"
