"Room 101 that was given was pretty run down. The toilet was still dirty with stains from the pervious person who had been staying there but luckily I had my own cleaning supplies to clean it. "

"The Tanoa was an amazing hotel to stay at. The staff there were the best we experienced in our 5 different stays on this trip - so helpful, happy and accommodating. The breakfast included was second to none. The only downside was the pool closing early and the parking in the back of the hotel - the road in needs repair."

"The staff, including the restaurant are excellent. I can't say enough of the warm hospitality that was offered me throughout my 2 week stay. The hotel is well situated to lively nightime food options, walking along the waterfront, and close to town. The hotel is a little tired, but it also had its charm. Do yourself a favour and book one of the rooms facing the water - evenings on the patio taking in the ambiance are well worth the few extra $$ (versus a room with no balcony). Will definately go back to the Emerald. Thanks to the staff - wonderful!"
