Despite how Kabukichō looks: • There is no violence • There is no crime targeting tourists • No one is going to bother you • There is no physical danger walking at night • Police patrol the area constantly It is not a dangerous neighborhood. The Grandbell is located in a kind of “middle zone”: • About 3–5 minutes from the quiet Shinjuku Gyoen side • About 3–5 minutes from the brighter, busier Kabukichō area You will not see explicit behavior, harassment, danger, or anything aggressive.
