The amenities and services were exceptional. This is a beautiful hotel in a quiet area just a short walk from the train station for easy access around the city. The rooms and hotel in general are beautiful and we would stay here again if we return to Tokyo.

Museum hotel, loved the property. Free tour of the 5th floor and service was excellent. Only downside was the air conditioner inside the room wasn’t working properly, we had to call and to be adjusted.

Simply the Finest hotel in Tokyo
Wow. This was possibly the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at anywhere in the world. our room was large, the bed was insanely big, the steam sauna and jacuzzi bathtub were phenomenal. The breakfast and restaurant were top notch. And the hotel itself is so picturesque that you can immediately realize why everyone was getting married in it. The coi pond and indoor waterfall were over the top decadence. I wish we stayed here longer. It's not cheap but you're paying for the best of the best. Anything we wanted, we asked for it and we got it. Kudos to the staff. And the meguro neighborhood was one of our favorites.

BEAUTIFUL!!!
One of the most beautiful and comfortable hotels we've every stayed at. I wish we could have stayed longer. I took so many photos of the hotel and bathrooms, it was so silly, but I was in awe of how lovely everything was. We also ate at their steak restaurant and enjoyed it, definitely recommend this hotel. We walked quite a bit in the morning, and this location is easy to get to the Art Museum, several shrines and more.

This was my third trip to Tokyo and I was traveling with my family. We have stayed at many nice hotels but this one was very different. The quality and attention to details was remarkable. Location was very good and staff very helpful. In short, anan experience to remember. In short, the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

It’s a luxurious hotel. Excellent staff, gourmet food, free shuttle to & from the train station. It’s an expensive Hotel but worth staying there.

A truly beautiful and elegant hotel stay
The Gajoen is a beautiful and luxurious hotel that is also perfect for familes. Our family of 4 stayed in a spacious suite that was Japanese and western style and had the best time. This hotel is a real treat with amazing art, antiquities, gardens and service that is the royal treatment. The Meguro neigborhood and station are only minutes away and have great shops and restaurants. If you want a quieter more luxuroius getwaway for your family in Tokyo this is the place.

True Gem of a Hotel
This is the most beautiful hotel I’ve experienced. If you’re in japan for the scenery and ambiance, the Gajoen is a MUST.

This is the most luxuriant and pleasant hotels
Hotel Gajoen is wonderful, hands down. Very japanese with wonderful gardens (including waterfall) and art. The rooms are very spacious, the beds out of this world comfortable and the bath will leave you speechless It includes a whirlpool with gold fixtures a 50 sq ft shower and a 40 sq ft wet sauna! We absolutely loved the place. The staff goes out of their way to help. I have stayed at hotels around the world and this is the nicest by far. Go there! We will be going back.

Beautiful traditional hotel
This hotel is by far the best I have stayed in across the globe, the traditional setting is truly remarkable. Just walking through the foyer is breathtaking. The rooms are very lovely too, very clean, good in size and the bathroom was definitely the best part. The hotel grounds, as mentioned are breathtaking, although we did not eat in any of the 5 restaurants they have to offer we did enjoy a slightly expensive but extremely delightful Royal Milk Tea in the Pandora.

Everything about this hotel is amazing, from customer service to hotel decor. Booked a 2-bedroom suite and it was nice and spacious. Location is also ideal to Meguro subway/train station and various key stations such as Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, etc.

We got suite which slept 6. Very comfortable and roomy for tokyo. Was much more economical compared to 2 rooms at a comparable hotel. Close to Meguro station (station is up a steep hill 2 blocks away) they have a shuttle to station, but it starts at 1100 which was too late, so we got a cab. As a home base in Tokyo, very smart choice. The lobby has multiple restaurants and is beautiful with an outdoor coveeed waterfall.....

Lovely hotel in a great location
Stayed here as a family and this was our first trip to Japan. Hotel is in a great location close to Meguro station, and has a river alongside with lots of Cherry trees which were in blossom whilst we were there. We had upgraded to a suite as there are four of us and this was lovely with 4 double beds, loads of storage, a main bathroom and a separate toilet too. In the package we had, we got breakfast included (and this was well worth it), and car parking too which was very useful to us as we hired a car to drive to the various places we wanted to visit. The hotel is attractive - very modern externally but a really nice traditional Japanese theme inside with very friendly staff, who were particularly helpful with English spoken by most. This made our stay much easier as we knew very little Japanese. The lobby area in particular is very attractive with water features containing fish, and a garden area, popular with wedding photographers (there were a few weddings thorough the week we were there). Variety of restaurants to choose from within the hotel, or other places nearby easily walkable. Overall a great hotel and based on our experience would recommend.

Clean, spacious hotel
Excellent traditional Japanese style room with hallway, lounge, in room sauna+bath. Reception is English friendly and the entire hotel decoration is a piece of art. Definitely will go consider the price I paid and the comfort I received.

Luxurious Japanese style rooms
Meguro Gajoen is a popular choice for Japanese wedding couples, which says plenty of the place. The Japanese rooms are luxurious, with a walk in sauna in addition to your cedarwood bathtub, and comfortable tatami mat rooms. It's an experience to immerse of yourself in it. The staff are professional and not intrusive, and were helpful in booking a sushi restaurant for me prior to arrival in Japan. (They did miss my email by a week, but more than made up for it by securing seats at a popular restaurant).

Great Asian design. Big rooms. Often for weddings
A high-end hotel mostly for weddings. Very beautiful designs, a few waterfalls and small garden. The rooms themselves look a little old (from the 80s?) but are huge (80 square meters?). The jet bath and steam sauna was nice. The design was kind of a "flashy" old-fashioned Japanese. Not a subtle Zen look, but a very colorful design (slightly Chinese?) that probably appeals to Westerners who like Ukioye design and Hokusai, etc.
