Simple accomodation. Nice staff. Grocery shops everywhere. They speak hardly English. Facilities run down. Only 2 shared showers for the whole hostel.

Peaceful & friendly place
This was my favourite stay in Tokyo because the people who run it are so friendly, kind, and accomodating. They speak English well. The building is dated and rooms basic, but it is made up for in the peace of staying in this neighborhood, and value for money. I would stay again as it's really good for solo travellers who don't want to stay in hostels/capsules.

Great hotel, and $20 USD a night. At that price you cant complain, but it was a little far from the airport and other things. I felt totally safe as a solo traveler, and had more than enough space for my 6'0 self. And it had a tv in the room! Once you can get the ac working, your room becomes heaven on earth. I recommend!

The hotel feels outdated and in need of maintenance and deep cleaning in a few places. The rooms were small, but more comfortable than anticipated. The shared bathroom has urinals in the public area and not very much separation or privacy so it was a little awkward for my wife knowing she might walk in and see a man peeing away. The best part about this property was the value which was pretty good and it’s only about 900 meters away from the station.

Long stay flew by
I was very happy with my long stay. The hotel is close to a bus stop, there is a kombini across the street, and 10 minute walk to the nearest train station. Good price for Tokyo, and there didn't arise any issues by sharing the bathroom. All guests during my stay behaved themselves. Staff were very friendly.

Basic but very cozy.
It's a comfortable little traditional style budget place in a good walking neighborhood. It's very close to bus stops and groceries and not far from the subway and restaurants. There's a hot communal bath, too, and all the green tea you can drink!

It’s like a 15 min walk from minami senju station... so with luggage bags, it’s quite painful. The staff are friendly. There is only 1 shower on the ground floor. But it’s okie if u shower at odd timings like I did, really late like 1am in the morning. The hair dryers are on the ground floor. AC works great! They have squatting traditional toilets but also the normal western toilet bowls

Highly recommended! Very clean (the smell that someone complained about is the smell of tatamis, welcome to Japan!), the staff was super accommodating and nice (they kept my bag for free while I was traveling to Kyoto).

dirty room but good service
our room was pretty dirty, talking about the bamboo floor, understand it is a guest house, but still, if we are sleeping on the tatami, which is on the floor, at least you have to keep it clean, whether it is a 2 star guest house or a 3 star hotel. at the end, the staff was nice enough to help clean up the mess on the bamboo floor, so we accept it. room is real small, if you are a tall big guy, then totally not recommended

No frills is ok but this place is just bad
The place is very ran down and filthy. Housekeeping is at a minimum. The walls, sheets and well everything had stains. The shared sinks and bathrooms have a prison feel about them, not that i have been but from what I have seen in the movies. The smell is very stale which led me to have to leave the tiny windows open the entire time to not feel nauseous. I only needed a place to crash since most of my time was spent outdoors but every minute in the place was unpleasant. With a remodel and just a slight bit of care towards the customer experience this could be a nice and affordable spot. But as is feels more like a Hong Kong cage dwelling.

The building was a little old but very well cleaned for its age. The staff was phenomenal, always willing to help and give directions. I stayed for a long stay and found my room comfortable (especially considering the price range) and the neighborhood amiable. Groceries, restaurants, and a coin-op laundry are all nearby.

Great business hotel stayed 5 days.
I enjoyed my stay, the rooms are cheap and big enough to hang out in. Only 1 double outlet in my room. The ac worked and the windows were a nice too. The futon was a bit thin but overall I had a really great experience. 13 minute walk from hibiya train and 30 minute walk from skytree. Overall great

The distance with Asakusa center makes Fukudaya silent, but the water in the shower do not drain rapidly during a shower. It makes the floor of the shower less clean. It should not be permitted to smoke in the room or in the corridor.

Second time for me. Very quiet place. Easy access to Subway, Minami Senju station on the Joban Line. Connexion to the yamanote line easy at ueno. Very near Skytree, asakusa, akihabara. Rooms and showers are clean and always available. 1 kombini on the street just behind the hotel. Very cheap and convenient place for travelers without kids who don't mind sleeping on a futon in a 10m2 room, with toilets/showers outside.

Staff service is nice and helpful. However, there is too much dust in the room. When we enter the room, there is a bad smell. The opening time for the Spa room is too short and should be gender separated.

Best budget hotel in Tokyo!
This place is very good for the price. Everything was clean and well kept, the room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. There was also English service available.

Decent stay for the price
Room was comfortable enough for my two night stay. It's a little annoying that the showers aren't on the same floor as the rooms. The staff was friendly and showed me around. This hotel is a little further walk from Minami-Senju station than other similar hotels (took me about 15-20 minutes to walk each time). But it was as expected for the price, nothing amazing but no problems either.
