Hotels in Tokugyo, Kofu

"Traditional Japanese style hotel in a great location on the lakeside. Room (after we changed) was spacious but very outdated in terms of technology. No USB sockets, very old TVs (not that we used them). We would have been fine with all of this, but the service and attitude of the staff (mainly the men) at the front desk was disrespectful. In general, we felt uncomfortable that for every request for a service like the onsen or massage we were required to pay in advance as if we were a pair of thieves."

"The Hotel was fantastic! The location is absolutely amazing -with the breathtaking view on Mount Fuji so we could enjoy Her Majesty magnificent presence every day. Staff were friendly, rooms -spacy and clean, breakfast and dinner were tasty. We highly recommend this hotel to travelers who are planning to spend few days in Five Lakes area."

"This was a clean hotel The laundry is old and the dryer doesn’t work too well The location was a but far for us from the station but we liked it’s proximity to Fuji"

"We couldn’t try the breakfast because it was fully booked. The hotel has self-service laundry facilities available. The staffs are helpful and polite."

"Breakfast good. Spa was terrible. A sheet departing tables and the entire time staff was loud. On the phone talking SO loudly I finally had to tell them to please be quiet. The elevator kept pinging every 10 seconds. It was a real shame . It was expensive and was shocked at how loud and rude the female on the phone was. Most the Japanese people have been lovely. Not this one. "

"Wonderful experience overall. Onsen was lovely especially having the open air bath in the room...all baths give a different vibe but all relaxing. Really enjoyed the Kaiseki but would've been great if they did allow you to report food allergies in advance so they could adjust menu. With my shellfish Allergy one meal set was very limiting. So next time probably wouldn't add that to the experience. Staff were friendly. The view from the room of the lake was amazing ..view of Mount Fuji from the observation deck was awesome. Overall a very relaxing stay...would definitely come again and very happy we stopped here on our trip to Japan."

"The hotel has a brilliant location with views over the lake and Mt. Fuji. The hotel was probably at its best 20 + years ago but seems dated now. There were damaged fittings in the ceiling, the tech is poor (shaky WiFi, TV not able to cast etc) and such a large amount of floor space taken up by unused communal areas. Had half board and it was getting a bit repetitive after the third day."

"Breakfast at this hotel is not the best. Scrambled eggs on soy milk, susages and a bread not fresh! The pictures of the property mislead me! "
