"The Aenea Superior Inn was a pleasant surprise. All the staff, especially Giuseppe, were very pleasant and helpful. The Inn is tucked away in a building next to a church and was secure and quiet. Good size room, full bathroom, whimsical birdcage elevator to get upstairs, and a private entrance (green door right in the middle of restaurant outdoor seating) to enter. All for a fair price. My only critique is that the walls are not terribly soundproof- there was a guest next door who woke up each morning hacking up a lung to the point of vomiting, and it was a daily alarm clock. "This property was a 5 minute walk to the heart of Trastevere cafes, and restaurants. The building is on a quiet dead end street with very little traffic. So you could sleep with the windows open if you wanted. They were kind enough to let us put our bags inside and get into our room earlier since we had a tour scheduled. The room was cleaned very well each day. My only issue initially was using the virtual key with WiFi on your phone to get in out of the building and rooms. Once they helped us...
