Niagara Falls may be the iconic American vacation destination. With its blowing winds and powerful water, there is no better place to appreciate the forces of nature. Horseshoe Falls is the largest of Niagara Falls’ three waterfalls and a highlight of this internationally famed tourist attraction. It stretches between Table Rock in Ontario and Goat Island in the state of New York. The Horseshoe Falls, also known as the Canadian Falls, is around 188 feet (57 meters) tall, approximately 2,600 feet (790 meters) wide and one of the world’s highest-volume waterfalls.

Spanning majestically across the Niagara River, the international Rainbow Bridge connects the United States and Canada. Stretching over 290 metres and sitting at a height of 62 metres above the swirling water, this world-famous tourist attraction is the fifth in a series of bridges that have linked the two countries around this spot.

Take the spectacular Cave of the Winds tour at Niagara Falls, one of the world’s largest cascades. Bring a waterproof camera and prepare to get wet; this tour brings you within exhilarating striking distance of the torrential waters.

Aside from the falls themselves, the futuristic Skylon Tower is one of the most recognisable landmarks on the Canadian side of the Niagara River. Towering 160 metres above street level, this popular observation tower offers a stunning aerial vista of the Niagara Gorge and surrounding regions. As well as offering exceptional views, the Skylon Tower complex also boasts a variety of excellent attractions including two restaurants, an amusement arcade, a cinema and a shopping centre.
