Unfortunately for this hotel, the hotel we stayed in the night before was magnificent. This is a hotel that could be anywhere in the world. Nondescript. The mini-bar had the usual overpriced items which we didn't bother with. It was a mini-fridge that was NOT cold, so the milk we put in there for coffee the next morning was ruined. There was something wrong in the bathroom plumbing that I reported to the front desk. The shower has one of those great big shower heads, and to use it you move the hand-held part down to the bottom of the water pipe. So. The problem was that the hand-held shower part would not stay where it was put, it rather quickly moved down the pipe. At that point the humongous shower head was supposed to start emitting water, but that did not happen. I had to continually shove the hand-held part back up the pipe only to have it fall back down. Irritating.
The hotel is cloistered with a wall that's locked at night, you get a code to get out if you're leaving early. Great if you're paranoid.
