The kitchen smelled like something was rotting, I think the bins hadn't been disposed of properly before we arrived. There also weren't any towels even though the advert says there will be. "Lovely historic building and grounds in a peaceful location. The restaurant food is excellent and very good value for money. The tudor main hall with a gallery is very impressive. The staff were professional and accommodating. The only thing I found a little odd is the bedroom and corridor decor which isn't in keeping with the rest of the building and in need of some refurbishment especially the carpet. However this would not stop me returning or recommending this hotel. "
