"My 8-year-old daughter and I had a very nice experience. The room was very nice and ours overlooked the pool and lazy river. It wasn't the busiest period and the front desk upgraded our room when we checked in.
The food court/dining area was interesting, but functional and the food was pretty good and not overpriced.
We came for the Volcano Bay water park. Being a hotel guest enabled us to get into the park an hour before the opening time. However, they didn't open much of the facility until 9:00, so it wasn't much of a bonus. The water park was really great, although, like all the Orlando theme parks now, pretty overpriced.
We spent some time at the hotel pool, which was okay and not overcrowded. It was heated to a warmer-than-expected temperature, but was nice. The lazy river was a bit underwhelming after being at Volcano Bay, which has a long lazy river and another not-so-lazy river. Also, if you wanted a tube to float on, you had to buy it. I didn't.
All in all, it was a good experience and my daughter really enjoyed it."
