"This was a great surprise, expected a normal room over a pub but was amazed on being shown the room, it was a huge apartment with large living room with kitchen area, huge bedroom and bed, toilet had a jacuzzi and separate walk in shower. Public car park outside which is £3 from 5pm to 9am! "

This is due to the friendly welcoming warm staff - specially Rosie who couldn’t do enough for us, she happily showed us around the facilities and made us feel very special. The fun, colourful vibe and swim up cocktails were a treat and the room with the double bath was one of its kind and so memorable. I would come back in a heartbeat - and hope to return later this year"

"Good parking within the grounds of the house. A very warm welcome. Excellent spotless room, great bed and lovely linen. The owner greeted us, checked us in, showed us into the room, demonstrated how everything worked, offered to help us with dinner plans, taxis, super helpful and welcoming. "

"We were disappointed to find that breakfast was not included in the price and so we had to pay an additional charge for breakfasts for our two night stay. The meal we had at the pub in the first night was mediocre at best. We ordered one of the 'specials' , which we thought would be good. It was a pie that had been microwaved and so instead of a crisp pastry crust was more like elastic."

"I arrived at the property and it was immediately clear that the bedsheets had not been changed. There were muddy paw prints and visible dog hairs all over the bedding. I contacted the host straight away, who offered to change the bedding but insisted it was “clean, just stained” and that this had been missed by the cleaners. However, if the bedding was clean, it should not have had dog hair on it. This raised serious concerns about the overall cleanliness of the property. If something as basic as fresh bedding had not been done, I did not feel confident that other items such as towels or surfaces had been properly cleaned either. As a result, I did not feel comfortable staying and had to leave immediately and find alternative accommodation. Despite this, the host has refused to issue a refund, even though I was unable to stay due to the condition of the property on arrival. Very disappointing experience and not what I expect when booking paid accommodation"

"We booked this property as the picture on website looked nice. It said we would share bathroom only with people in our party, this was booked as non-refundable. We only book properties with en-suite usually but as said it would only be shared with our party. Once booking came through I checked the postcode and found that the property was down a private road which you could not view on google maps. On arrival after a day of travelling the Norfolk coast, we found ourselves outside a Bungalow which was not appealing to the eye. We parked at rear of property and looked in the back of the property. It was full of rubbish/work gear as he was in middle of refurbishment and was not somewhere we would like to stay. Whilst waiting for proprietor he called, knowing we had booked the room (had seen us on CCTV) and asked why we were looking around the property which is on private road and a private residence. I explained that he had given us permission as he had taken our money. When the owner arrived, we found that we would be sharing the bungalow with himself with no lock on door, only a double bed in room and would be sharing bathroom with him. This was not what we had been told on website. So, we decided not to stay. So, all in all it was a really bad experience. The proprietor would not refund the money to Hotel.com. Hotels.com have credited my account with 58% of the cost as compensation as owner would not refund. account on Hotels.com but not fuul amount paid."
