"An excellent location right in the middle of everything. I had a private room, which was spotless and really well appointed. The rooftop bar was a great place to hang out and meet people and even better the drinks were cheap. Parking available for a charge and the staff were all lovely. Highly recommend"

"The biggest plus was the location - close to the beach, eateries and the action. The room was dark with a flickering lamp. The balcony was narrow and dirty with no seating. The bathroom was spacious but had no hooks to hang up clothes or towels. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room 8 is street level so could hear the music from across the road in the evening. Will explore other accommodation options next time."

"Stayed in deluxe room with own en-suite. Room was clean & comfortable. Ideal for my short-term stay (3 nights), albeit a little expensive for a hostel. Had to close bathroom door overnight as fan would stay on for some reason which was loud. Didn’t use the facilities on site but staff seemed friendly & overall the building was well maintained. Pool also looked clean but didn’t use it. "

"Overall it was OK and in a great spot. However the TV was not working in the main room, which is poor. We were also abruptly told we would be charged extra if we were out by 10.30am instead of 10.00am"

"We stayed in the studio. It had a kitchenette - so had a microwave, kettle and toaster. There was no extra cooking supplies - I think the room had one knife and cutting board that were provided for cooking purposes. Basic but there was a communal BBQ by the pool we could use. Bed was comfy enough, comforter was like a fleece blanket in white sheets... not very warm. During our short stay the pool was being serviced and was not usable for two of the days we were there which was pretty...

"The Sebel was in a great location and central to cafes and a very short walk to the beach. Quiet at night and it provides a nice kitchen if you wish eat in. "

"Will always look for this place when coming back to Byron! Spacious, clean, comfortable room. Feels exactly how I want a beach motel to feel - plus it has a pool and direct access to the beach via a private path. Seriously everything I want and look for"

"The hotel is within walking distance to the beach & lots of restaurants.The hotel has free bicycle to use for 5hrs it also has a check out time for midday.I found all the staff i dealt with extremely polite and helpful.I would definitely stay here again "

"Choosing to stay here you need to keep in mind that it is a 2 star hostel so you can't expect bells and whistles. You have to manage your expectations. That being said me and my partner found this to be the perfect base for our Byron Bay stay. We stayed in a private cube double room and to be honest it's everything we needed. We've stayed in 5 star hotels before and I can honestly say the bed in this hostel was one of the comfiest beds we've ever slept in! We had a fridge to store food and drink...

"Do not book the Studio room! Upgrade to the Villa or don’t stay here. The Studio rooms are barely bigger than a prison cell and are nowhere near 5 star hotel quality. The property is neat and the staff are so nice. Just don’t book the Studio rooms. "
