Choosing to stay here you need to keep in mind that it is a 2 star hostel so you can't expect bells and whistles. You have to manage your expectations.
That being said me and my partner found this to be the perfect base for our Byron Bay stay. We stayed in a private cube double room and to be honest it's everything we needed. We've stayed in 5 star hotels before and I can honestly say the bed in this hostel was one of the comfiest beds we've ever slept in! We had a fridge to store food and drink & even a kettle with tea, coffee & milk. Please be warned the rooms are not air-conditioned but we did have a big fan on the wall that helped massively! We can't comment on kitchen/ cooking facilities as we did not make use of these. Bathrooms are perfectly functional but could do with some tlc and a more regular cleaning schedule. We made sure we took antibac wipes in with us every time & always where you flip flops in the shower lol! The room was overall clean but could have definitely done with a deeper clean such as upholstery clean & walls/skirtings/Windows. Overall we had a lovely stay here and found the staff super friendly and helpful!
