The hosts are ultra welcoming and friendly. And gave me some great tips on places to visit, including nearby scenic walks.
Plus Simon cooks a top English breakfast and Paula does a great job of keeping the place in order.
They allow dogs, although best to check with them before booking to make sure they will get on with their dogs ok.
The nearby road is noisy early morning, but only if you keep the window fully open."
"Lovely setting, great views across the river. Easy walk into the town with some great places to eat. Parking available but need to book separately with the hotel."

"We had a lovely stay at Trenython Manor. The Hotel and grounds were great for our family stay.
We were emailed prior to our stay and advised to book in a time slot for swimming, as all swimming and gym sessions must be pre-booked.
The hotel is grand and traditional.
All staff we came across were friendly and helpful.
We had a family room in the hotel, which was spacious and clean. Our kids loved the bunk beds, and it was a lovely touch being left sweets and a colouring book.
Our bed was huge and really comfy.
As the hotel is in an old building, the sound proofing wasn’t great, so if your a light sleeper ear plugs might be needed. Also there was no bedside plug sockets, to charge phones etc.
we used the pool which was clean, and had a sauna, steam and jacuzzi too.
Breakfast was lovely, with a wide variety of food choices.
The hotel grounds are fab for children, with a football net, play area, woodland walk and tortoises.
We just wished we stayed for longer! "
