"Room was horrible. The sliding bathroom door did not work, so using the bathroom with zero privacy was, again, horrible. The temp in the room was 64 degrees. Nothing we did could change it. So I slept in my jacket and PJ's. Dudes loitering in the front entry way. The block is super filthy. The tissue box had 1 used tissue in it. Just nasty. The additional $175 deposit after fully pre-paying is outrageous along with another $5 for incidentals. Smh. Room was the size of a walk in closet. Bed smelled like it was only sprayed with Febreze. The whole experience was awful. Not to mention the loud music blasting in the restaurant that you are forced to walk thru to get to the elevator while people are partying and eating. Just uncomfortable, inconvenient and again, all the guys hanging out in front of the entry way while being in and out and in and out of the restaurant isn't cool. I am a native NY'er and this was just a super wack experience. Never again!"

"The food was great but bar staff was slow. First night had no heat and had to get maintenance to come fix. Second day, their boiler was down so had absolutely no hot water for shower. Overall not bad stay after initial hiccups were fixed only because I stay longer than normal. If I was only there for weekend, it would have been miserable."

"The place was dirty. More like a s** house than a hotel!! I have two small children. I could NOT let them sleep here. I walked in and 10 minutes later checked right out! Oh and staff is HORRIBLE."

"Room was visibly dirty and not vacuumed (found false eyelashes on floor, shower floor had hairs, smudges on table and counter surfaces, hole in bathroom door. Bed itself was clean and comfortable. Encountered few staff. Check in was easy. Coffee/tea was not replenished (only one coffee cup for a stay for 2 people). It was alright for one night but don’t plan to return for accommodations. "

"Great little place 10 minutes from Central park, and an easy Subway ride to Times Square! If you want a nice, clean, safe place to hang your hat at night while visiting Manhattan (for a great price), come here! It was so nice to walk into a beautiful old building where the hard wood hadn't been landlord-special'd, and we enjoyed the good eats further down Amsterdam. The parking is actually a block over, so be prepared to be paused in traffic to unload, or just park and walk your bags over when you check in. My only note is that our bed was comically loud and squeaky, you could adjust your leg or roll over and the whole thing would creak. My husband and I were on our honeymoon, and we cracked plenty of jokes about it, lol. "
