"Host Debbie was very welcoming, the room was very clean and the bed linen very fresh. The room could do with a little TLC with a wonky toilet seat, shower door loose and the creeking floor boards that added character to the room. Hotel is located to easy access all Skipton amenities and surrounding area. I would recommend this hotel."

"The location on the canal and picturesque countryside made a beautiful setting for dining in the conservatory. The food was consistently very good, the staff friendly and I enjoyed using the pool. "

"Our stay was wonderful, probably the best B&B my wife have stayed in. It was comfortable, beautifully designed and spacious. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly. The views were stupendous, of course the almost tropical weather helped. Breakfast was just what we expected from a Yorkshire B&B. We cannot speak too highly of Throstle Nest Farm. "The Craven Heiffer has a warm and welcoming atmosphere - staff were professional, friendly and approachable and the service was excellent! My hotel room was lovely and spacious, the bed was comfortable and I had great nights sleep. I will definitely plan a return journey … the bar staff were lovely and I’d like to thank Gemma in particular ! "

"This is a lovely quaint, quiet country inn/accomodation, which is on its way to be something special. The welcome, cust service and food were top notch. The owners have just recently taken over and you can see how wonderful this place is going to be, with everything being made future proof. They are updating it whilst still providing a wonderful experience. It’s also dog friendly in the bedrooms too (with beds and snacks for your K9 friend). I will definitely be going back. Ooh, and the chef...

"First time staying at this lovely 16th century hotel in beautiful Burnsall. Everything about my visit went well, my room was lovely, clean and comfortable. As a sole older woman traveller, some hotels are less accepting of the fact I'm by myself but the staff here were kind and friendly and it makes a huge difference. I will definitely go back. "

"It is comfortable, older hotel. Quirky even. Everyone very helpful, nothing a bother. Bedding and towels excellent quality. Breakfast was freshly cooked, and superb. Plenty of choices. Service excellent. Dinner was fabulous, in presentation and taste, again cooked to order. A busy evening function, but residents came first. Will definitely stay again."
