"No lift! The hotel listing does say that all upper floors are only accessible by stairs (it's a listed building and they aren't able to install a lift) but if you miss that information, it can be a bit of a shock if you are less able-bodied. Our room was on the third floor and quite a trek with a baby each time we came and went.
However... the staff were more than willing (in fact, they insisted) to help with our small amount of luggage and show us to our room. They also said that anything we...

Sea view rooms have great views of the sea and the pier. Short walk to the beach or the shopping areas and The Lanes.
Have stayed there many times and never disappointed.

"The sea view was absolutely lovely, the bed was comfortable and the hotel itself has some really nice features. However, there are areas of the hotel that are looking quite tired and in need of some attention.
Our room, for example, had a large section of plaster missing from the wall above the window. When you’re paying good money for a hotel stay, you expect the room to be maintained to a decent standard, and this really let it down.
I also think the spa charges need to be made much clearer....

"Booked for 3 nights as we wanted something cheap and basic. Room was clean and functional and perfectly adequate. Unfortunately the double beds were very small - a tight squeeze for two, especially if you're larger build - and the mattresses felt cheap and uncomfortable.
We arrived late so stayed the first night, but checked out the next morning and found somewhere else around the corner. Shame, as the room itself was clean, but the beds made it uncomfortable."
