"The Leonardo hotel in Southampton is decent value for money. The room is spacious, and the staff simply amazing. Little if any noise gets in from outside so you’ll have a great night sleep, and the breakfast is very good for this price bracket. However the location is a bit… weird. If you’ve stepped off the airport bus (itself great value) at Giddy Bridge and approach the hotel it’s just… awkward to get into. "Check in proved difficult as I hadn't been sent a room number or check in code and didn't realise I was supposed to request this 24 hours prior according to special instructions. Luckily a cleaner was there and sorted me out. The room itself was very clean except for under the bed. No towels or soap. Someone knocked on my door at 10:20am asking if I was checking out that day. I said yes and he said check out was 10am. I said no checkout is 11am and he checked his phone and left me be."

I called, texted, and left a WhatsApp message on that number, but received no response for at least an hour.When I finally received a text message with details for a new room, I found the bed was broken and the room was freezing cold. A staff member told me he would come to fix the issue but ultimately never showed...
