"Loved my stay here! We were in Mauritius for a week and stayed at 3 different hotels on the East, west, and southern coasts. Grand Baie Veranda was my favorite. The hotel is simply so beautiful from the moment you get into the parking lot. Very clean and the staff are amazing. I will never forget one of the staff members taking the time to clean my wound when I stubbed my big toe walking to dinner. That was so nice. The food is also great and I loved the gift shop. Found reasonably-priced souvenirs to take home with me. The room was great, my only qualm with it is that there are too many light switches. Otherwise, very spacious and well-decorated. Loved waking up to the sound of birds serenading us on the balcony each morning. The hotel and the surrounding area are also pretty lively. Many dining options within walking distance."

"the room i had was ground floor garden view, the gardens were nice sitting on patio having a beer was relax full, the room itself was bigger than usual had a tv but channels were very limited we actually never watched it after first time. bathroom was also big bath and shower few personal items ,storage for clothes was fine just shelves little hanging space, room was clean ,now it does need a bit of tlc, shower screen needs a good cleaning house keeping can take up to 5 o'clock to clean room sometimes forgot clean towels stairs to upstairs apartment are wooden can hear people coming and going, overall it passes for 3 star hotel room, just make sure if you don't like stairs ask for ground floor, the room they first gave us was on third floor no lift, they change us next day after we told them"

"Residences Alizees Spa is an apartment-hotel. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and the proprietor complained about not receiving payment from the owner of the apartment prior to our arrival. He also disputed whether our reservation should be honored. We contracted through Cheaptickets to pay when we arrived. The area surrounding the complex was not like the photos on the website advertising the property. It was in a poorly developed part of town with no infrastructure to accommodate hotel guests. Also, there was not a restaurant onsite as advertised. There was no one at the reception desk to answer questions about checking in. Security and other staff members were oblivious concerning how to address this dilemma. We had to contact someone offsite, who then had to contact the proprietor. It took about three hours for the room to be prepared; however, by that time, we'd found another hotel and had no surprises at check-in. I do not recommend Residences Alizees Spa to anyone. Let the buyer beware."

"Vivek and his wife Lena were great hosts. When I arrived, we had a sit down conversation, told me about the whole neighborhood and what’s around the area. At first I was skeptical due to the fact that I was my first time in country, but by the 2nd day, all was smooth sailing."
