"It’s a lovely, quaint place. It was quite remote but that’s just the way we like it. The rooms were immaculate, extremely modern and tastefully decorated. A traditional style wee bar which added to our experience. The food was great: staff were superb being both friendly and attentive. I will return when in the Borders. Ps the locals who were in the pub added to a great atmosphere. Wonderful stay."

"There was no one at the desk. Self check in via the hotel email. Room was on 2nd floor up two flights of winding stairs not easy to maneuver with luggage. Limited food at the hotel. Did have free parking. Very old building not handicap accessible. Room was a good size and comfortable. Bathroom was very small couldn’t open the door all the way. Not recommended for older people or anyone who can’t do stairs."
