Thamel Hotels with Adjoining Rooms

"This hotel had excellent reviews. The price was good, so I booked it. I was not disappointed. The manager, Raj & his staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I could feel the warmth & friendship of the hotel as soon as I arrived. Nothing is to much trouble for them. I leave today for Pokhara, but will come back & stay here again next week when I return. Strongly recommend this hotel. You simply can not go wrong staying here. Its excellent."

"The staff at Hotel Buddah were fantastic, starting from breakfast and assisting with anything else (taxi to airport etc) as needed. It is quite a noisy area, which you can hear through the windows at night. Felt slightly unsafe walking around once dark but lovely and popular tourist spot during the day. "

"We stayed here about 5 years ago and since then nothing has been improved or updated. We always liked the garden area but now it is being used for storage of items and so less area to relax and spend quality time. Also new businesses have opened nearby which has increased the noise later into the night. But it is relatively inexpensive and food is reasonable so there are trade-offs."

"Stay was pleasant. Chose the hotel for the price and also because I was staying here for an upcoming group tour. Main thing that let the hotel down was trying to organise pick up from the airport. Emailed at least 3 times with no response (via hotels.com and also through their email). "

"Staff were all very nice. They also held our bags (5 big bags) for 20 days while we trekked the Anna Purna circuit. Everything was kept in good condition and secure. "

"Arriving tired from the airport, we were told that, although TWO rooms were reserved and paid for through RBC, they only had been notified and received payment for ONE. Luckily they had one more room for our daughters. Unfortunately, it was over a club and very noisy til late at night. It was not practical to phone RBC since it was the middle of the night in Canada, nor did I want to spend an indefinite length of time on hold on a cell phone from Nepal so we took the path of least resistance and...

"I didn't know what to expect, maybe my 'western' ideas were a little off. The reality is that it is a safe, clean(ish) hotel with very polite and helpful staff. Good value for money."
