It was close to the national park. I loved the vibe of the small town, rooms were dated but clean. Added to the ambience of the town. The onsen was nice. Parking was easy. Close walk to everything.

KKR Kawayu
The hotel was typical rural Japanese, the showers are shared in the onsen area (no en suite). Breakfast was served to you but was really typical Japanese (don't expect western food here).

Foods are good and service are perfect. Just too bad the day we're there were the only rainy day for the trip so not able to enjoy the perfect view of the lake. But still is a very good enjoyable night staying.
