Hotel in a prime location but the inside was very dated and worn. Everything needs painting and new carpets throughout. Rooms were basic for thr price and bathroom was awful. Everything falling apart. No sleep as was woken by fire alarms early morning due to another guest pressing it due to 'messing around' while intoxicated. Not only once but 3 times was evacuated at gone 2am. Staff did nothing about it. Property needs major improvement and was very disappointing. Not worth the price paying. Wont be staying again

Good location, helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were cold and damp with wallpaper peeling off. Bathroom was clean and modern however, the shower pressure was non existent and water just trickled out coupled with only one temperature which was boiling hot! (Even when turning the gauge to cold). So given the price of the room , disappointing!

A Hidden Gem
Lovely welcome upon booking in. My room was really clean & warm with a superb sea view. Plenty of tea/coffee/milk sadly no biscuits provided. Bed super comfortable and bathroom very clean. Stayed here many many times and will continue to do so … Best sea views & just a lovely hotel to stay in all year round.

Our two day getaway in tenby
The hotel was not in a great state. I think we were given a bargain room it was cold no heater in the bathroom and the shower was awful. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the food was ok. I think we were unlucky with the room we were given. Teby is great and it was a nice break anyway. we are not the type to complain. Lack of carpark did add 12 pound a day to the price, this was not an issue for us but may be for others

Superb place to stay
This hotel was rated 3 star but should be 4 star. On arrival the reception was warm and friendly. The room was superb overlooking the sea with a 4 poster bed. The bathroom was narrow but had all amenities. Breakfast had a good selection and the staff were always helpful. The bar was friendly and well stocked. Being November the evening menu was limited and times were restrictive so we ate out. The only real problem was parking, there is none at the hotel but there is a pay cark park a short walk down the road.

If one appreciates those large, older sort of "has been" hotels as I do this place is rather more than ok. There are stuninig views from the dining area. Staff are fine, and location could hardly be better. Do note that this hotel isas are all in Tenby,well above the beach, requiring a steep trek down and back up again. This accentuates the views. Good breakfast, tho. no mushrooms, some fresh fruit and variety of nut and berry toppings. Scrambled eggs only.

Nice hotel
The hotel is clean, it is currently being renovated which is desperately needed. It is perfectly situated just a short walk to Tenby town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and am sure that it will only get better when the renovation has been completed.

We booked a room that had a sea view according to the listing, however, when we arrived, the view was of the road opposite the side of the hotel and the same view also included the flooded and filthy roof of the ground floor that had rubbish and last years Xmas lights casually bunched up at one side. The bed was listed as a double bed but this was a very small double that would have difficulty accommodating anyone on the "large" side. What I found especially strange was the sloped floor in the room and this made the bed very uncomfortable as it felt like you were moving over. The bathroom was also looking very tired with marks all over and the sink had a massive crack on the left hand side which didn't leak but just looked bad. Another issue was the breakfast, when we went down to eat in the morning we were greeted by a thick set bloke who seemed like he hadn't ironed his black shirt as it was unbelievably creased which looked very untidy and doesn't give a professional impression. The food itself while not great was fine, even if the bacon was a little overdone which can happen when left on a hot serving tray for too long. The restaurant has also seen much better days as the decor was old and tired and the UPVC windows that overlooked the beach and unfilled screw holes and other marks all over them that didn't leave a great impression. All in all, not worth the £100 a night I paid, I have stayed in better places for £30-£50 and I think this place would suit that price point

Perfect location. Felt misled by photos and ameneties though. No sea view or terrace available although both indicated as present upon booking. Nice staff and clean but incrediply dated building in poor repair and certainly not the 3 stars as advertised.

The only half decent thing about the hotel is it’s location. The staff do their best with the awful situation they have to work in. Maybe you should close your doors until the refurbishment is complete. Very over priced, the food is the worst hotel food I have ever eaten. Disappointed resident we checked out a day early. The place could be a gold mine.

The receptionist was not helpful or happy. The view was spectacular and the bed was comfortable. Besides the location I would never stay again. Carrying luggage up the stairs was ridiculous and the receptionist even lied about how many sets of stairs I had and where my room was. Just. Plain. Weird.

I recently stayed at [the Imperal with my partner, looking forward to a nice trip away. However, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by a few significant issues that greatly impacted our stay. Upon entering our room, we were immediately concerned about the security of the premises. The door was unlocked and wide open, leaving us feeling vulnerable and uneasy. It was disconcerting to think that anyone could have accessed our room before our arrival. Additionally, the door itself seemed faulty, as it required multiple attempts to close properly. This lack of security measures was truly concerning, especially for a hotel of this caliber. As if the security issues weren't enough, we were further disappointed by the constant loud humming noise that persisted throughout the night. Located next to what we assume was a boiler room, the noise was incessant and prevented both myself and my partner from getting more than an hour's worth of sleep. Regrettably, we couldn't request a room change, as the reception was not manned after 10pm, leaving us to endure a sleepless night. The lack of sleep greatly affected our overall experience. It left us feeling exhausted and irritable, which hindered our ability to fully enjoy our time away. We had hoped for a restful and relaxing trip, but unfortunately, the incessant noise disrupted any chance of that. When we brought these issues to the attention of the hotel staff, we were disappointed by their response and lack of empathy.

Room wasn't serviced on 2nd morning. so no milk left to make tea and I wasn't trailing down 3 floors to find some. Large dye mark on one of the towels left Very disappointing in a lovely location. Won't be returning.

Thank you for you response. The website states that we do not offer parking and upon arrival we assist guests with information on our 3 nearest car parks. When booking, it is up to guests to book bed and breakfast if they wish to have it. 10 is our charge for breakfast and this includes our continental buffet breakfast. Rooms are serviced upon request as cleaners will not just enter the rooms without guests indicating they want their rooms serviced. As for the stained towel this will be passed onto our linen providers as they are responsible for providing us new and clean linen that is ready to use. Thank you again for your review.

Shabby but serviceable
Very basic and needs updating. Fabulous location, right on the beach. Advertised as ‘parking available’ but the hotel does not have parking and we had to park a good 10-15-minute walk away. The bed itself was comfortable and clean and the shower to. Only one lamp between two people. A chair that really needs to be thrown out would’ve been better off not used. Windows need blinds and the curtains were coming off the rails. Check in time us late - 3pm and check out is early - 10am. The walls and doors were very mayors and looked grubby - we didn’t pay much but you do expect things to look clean.

Perfect place to unwind
Hotel is in a beautiful position over looking St Catherine’s island and Caldey island. The staff are friendly and helpful making the stay all the more personal. The hotel is very clean and our room was immaculately presented. We had a lovely evening meal and a great breakfast too. The bar has the most spectacular view as the sun was setting. The hotel is undergoing a complete refurbishment and this is great to see. We would return without hesitation

Quite enjoyed our stay. Excellent location. As previous reviews, hotel is quite dated. Booked twin sea view room. Beautiful views. Hotel almost on beach. Room not wonderful. Found bottle top from previous occupant on floor. Apparently hotel is being refurbished. Bar staff really friendly and helpful. We ate out but food did look lovely.

The room had an amazing sea view with a huge bay window. Unfortunately it was badly decorated with patchy paint on the walls and signs of damp coming through. The shower was difficult to use and had poor flow. I king size bed would have been nice instead of a double. When we checked out the receptionist didn’t ask us how are stay way, I couldn’t be bothered to raise the issues as she didn’t seem interested.

I stayed here for 2 nights. It was ok. The sea view is beautiful from our bedroom. However, the worn furniture took away from enjoying the view. We were out most of the time, so it was ok. I would go stay at a different place if I came back. The hotel was close to everything. Five Arches was just down the street to the hotel. Very convenient.

Awful Hotel
The hotel is dated & dirty. Needs a complete refurbished. Beds are dreadful, shower literally just drip out water. Its in a good location but you would be much better paying less for somewhere nice outside of Tenby & using a taxi yo come into the town. There is no free parking anywhere anyway.
