"Comfortable and clean . Friendly staff especially Becky and Liv.Evening meal superb ,apparently chef Dave on duty when we stayed. It would have been better if staff knew what soup of the day was before taking orders ,a small detail but probably more professional. About 9 stairs up to the room ,staff did offer to help with suitcases .Car park is up a small hill but there is a drop off area to unload your suitcases to avoid having to walk down with them. Would return if only for the food."

"1 bed appt, perfect for my needs. Only quibble was sofa. Nice balcony over looking courtyard. Spa facility (pool, jacuzzi, steam room etc) was great, very clean and well run. Its a shame the restaurant wasn't running but as I had an appt with a kitchen it wasn't really a problem. Small shop on site open for 2 hrs each evening, and a temporary bar above the spa. Its a bit in the sticks but only 20 mins drive from Bideford. All the staff were friendly and helpful."

"Reading the other reviews it feels like maybe we got unlucky with our room allocation but beware that the room categories and photographs on Expedia do not match the ones at the hotel; and the ones on the hotel website also do not match the rooms you will be given as they show photos mixed from all categories in each one. We booked a superior thinking it would be the nicest and expecting the amenities listed like a king bed, rainfall shower, workspace etc, it had none of these and was a quite...
