Excellent location, but need a little work.

Okay, the hotel is centrally located which is a plus. The room we stayed, so can't speak for every room, was a deluxe double (I'm sure they call it) is a little tired feeling with rips on seating, and shower/bathroom looking like it'll need an overhaul soon as corrosion is setting in on the door hinges and pipework. The heating system varys between a thermostatic water heated system in the bathroom and an electric storage heater with fan assist in the main living area (which didn't work) as the knobs don't adjust anything as they're broken I found out on further inspection, but easily fixed if the knob is taken off and adjust manually, but this shouldn't be the case especially when it's -5°C outside, this I would get fixed. The cleanliness of the room was subpar to be honest with chewing gum wrappers with expiry dates 2-3 months old, dust etc. The room can be cold if you don't get the heater working properly as the windows tend to leak air in, this can be fixed by rolling the curtains up and putting them on the windowsill, parts of the floor are oddly freezing cold, I think it's due to the cold air getting in, but again with the heating on it's not really an issue. Not everything is terrible, the above are easy fixes to make a stay more comfortable and pleasing for guests as the location is excellent and within walking distance of the town centre, river and public transport takes you to the door. The room & bathroom sizes are excellent, and the price is decent. 3/5 rating.

Jó szállás

Tiszta, rendben lévő, központi elhelyezkedésű szállás, a recepción nagyon kedvesek voltak. Kicsit hangos, amikor a reggeli forgalom elindul, de ez sem volt kimondottan zavaró, hiszen belvárosi helyszínről van szó. Alapvetően elégedetten távoztunk.

A hotel nagyon jó helyen van a belvárosban, közel a Tiszához, és a tömegközlekedéshez. Az viszont nem tetszett, hogy a szoba -kérésünknek megfelelően - két különágyas volt, de az egyik ágy mérete gyerek méret volt. A fürdőszobának nem volt szellőzése. A személyzet udvaris és barátságos. Összeségében máskor is igénybe venném a szállodát, de másik szobával.

Egy éjszakára tökéletes

A látnivalókhoz kb 5p sétára. Kedves személyzet. A reggeli friss pekaruval -bár csak hideg reggeli van de jo valasztekkal-, és jo kávéval. 4 em-i szoba nem volt felujitva de kényelmes az ágy igaz elég rövid. Fürdőszobán lehetne újítani. Ár érték arányban jó.

Dirty and come down

I stayed at this place in June, I just booked it because nothing else was available with a quite good rating with stars. I would really not recommend this place for a stay unless you have no other option. +location is all right (5min to city center) +air conditioning +prices are cheap -Not hygienic and clean -come down place wich really would need a renovation, simply not in good condition -strange smell in my room at least -really old and dirty mattresses wich looked like from the last century -not good care was taken of the customers

Conveniently located simple hotel

Staff was very friendly, free parking is available at the public parking garage literally next door (costs covered by the hotel), but the hotel was quite deserted - I always found the elevator where I left it, so felt like nobody else used it. It felt a big awkward. Wifi was OK, but was kind of slow. The room I had could use a bit of a remodeling and renovation as it was a bit outdated - both in terms of design, as well as quality. Continental, cold breakfast was alright, but again, I ate at the café completely alone... It's OK for the lower price level compared to some other hotels in Szeged, but there are a bunch of better options if you are willing to pay a bit more. Location is really good, it's just on the side of the downtown area, everything is within walking distance.

Hotel for all budgets

Great Hotel, good value for money. My stay was only on a room only basis, so unable to comment on the breakfast provision in the hotel.

City Hotel Szeged

Lovely looking hotel, the rooms needs a little work - there was cobwebs in my bedroom and their was problems in the bathroom - the shower rail was loose and wobbly, the blind was missing slats so shower time was fun as long as you didnt mind flashing to the people in the building opposite ! They only served breakfast - the restaurant wasnt open for other meals due to a refurb - this information may have been handy before making the booking. Overall not bad at all, a bit more attention to the details and it would have scored at least a 4 in every area.
