"Absolutely fabulous hotel and perfect location to enjoy the wonderful scenery - mountain hikes and swimming and activities on the lake. Duty manager so welcoming, helpful and friendly, advising us on walks on our arrival. Friendly restaurant staff and a great buffet breakfast to start the day with a much appreciated vegan selection.
Lovely bakery on-site and covered walkway to the cable car opposite the hotel.
Lovely spa area to relax after hiking, or to watch the rain from.

"We stayed 4 nights at the Monopol. We found it clean and the rooms spacious with very comfortable beds. The rooftop bar is really beautiful as it gives you a view of the town and the lake. I wished breakfast was served there but unfortunately it is actually served in the restaurant on the lower level where there is no view at all. Breakfast was actually a bit underwhelming, especially the sweet options. Few plain croissants, some plain cakes (the same every day), few sad mini donuts that looked...

"Very luxurious family-driven hotel. Rooms were old-school but nice. Cleaning was unbelievable and quick. Breakfast good and perhaps best coffee I had in a while. Staff was nice. Location really good. Could have used a fridge or kettle. Would recommend."
