"Property was nicely decorated and, whilst there is no reception, the instructions to gain access were easy and worked well. The continental breakfast in the room was lovely and well thought through although there was a lack of English Breakfast tea bags which I assume was just because they hadn’t been topped up. There is no parking at the accommodation but lots of parking in the town centre - it’s only a few minutes walk and I would recommend parking first and then walking to the property as...

"Parking is very convenient and close to the village centre. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is very small and not what was advertised. It had a skylight but no windows. Towel warmer didn’t work. Breakfast hours were advertised for 9-10:30. When we arrived at 10 they told us breakfast was closed, but when I pointed out their own hours listed on the card, they did make us breakfast."

"We would not have booked here if we had known the Saturday breakfast was 9am to 10am. There is no information about breakfast times on the booking process. The TV was totally unusable as I do not have a modern PhD. I simply could not understand all this internet stuff. The Wifi speed was slow, less than 1mbps. Besides that, clean comfortable room, excellent real beer in the bar."

"The room was spotless beautifully furnished. We had endless tea, coffee milk and biscuits. The staff could not have been more helpful nothing was too much trouble The restaurant and bar was clean and very comfortable. The food was fabulous, well prepared. Added to all this you have a very large car park Would recommend this hotel and give it 10/10."

"I picked this property as we had tickets for a gig at the O2 Academy and wow, it could not have been any closer! Literally a 20 second walk across the road, which when the gig finished was amazing to be able to just fall straight into bed! The place itself is fine, could be better but as a one night stay it was perfectly adequate. The code for the door was emailed to me and worked perfectly, we had no issues. "We really enjoyed our stay at The George. It was authentic, absolutely clean as a whistle and the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. It is an authentic old inn so there were some creaky floors but it fine for us. The staff and the food were amazing. I would stay here again."

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay happen, even when we arrived late. We ate our breakfast outside in the courtyard which was idyllic. The food was gorgeous. "Rooms are modern and nice. The rest wasn’t great at all. Half of the breakfast items were ‘unavailable’, the beer garden outside is full of litter and there’s glasses on the wall that look like they’ve been there for months."
