We found this on Expedia and walked in to ask for a room because we were just stopping on a road trip for the night. They said they were out of rooms. We got on Expedia in the parking lot, booked a room, walked back in and got the key. The hot breakfast was not very good, and the pancake machine was broken. We booked this hotel because it had an indoor hot tub, but it was out of order and wasn’t even filled with water.

Did not have a great stay here. Booked a room with 2 queen beds. They did not have the room available when we got there so kids slept on a pull out couch (which was not comfortable). The pool was not clean looking; hot tub was drained. Breakfast was not fresh and pancake machine was broken. Breakfast area was not clean.

No Iron, but Good Overnight Stay

Was a nice stop over while traveling. It was about what you'd expect from a typical Holiday Inn. They didn't have an iron in the room or a replacement. So, that was quite odd.

Broken hotel

Hotel is terrible disrepair. Beds were completely broken and very itchy. Sunken in the middle of each bed. Couch bed was broken. We did not sleep and had a long day on the road the next day. Breakfast was decent. Tile broken in bathroom. Staff was apologetic.

Needs some upkeep

Great service from the front desk, however the property was in need of repairs and general upkeep. The weeds and grass were overgrown, one of the beds was broken, exterior window was broken and no room darkening shades present, the hot tub was out of order, and the pool was freezing. Again, the front desk was very kind and attentive, but the overall state of the hotel is what needs attention.

Has Potential

The hospitality was next to none! The lady at the service desk and the lady making breakfast were awesome! However, the beds in our room were terrible. They looked like they were about to fold in half. The had a terrible dip in the middle all the way across. Not comfortable at all. They definitely need to upgrade them.

When we got into our room, we noticed a roach in the kitchenette. A towel had what looked like a blood stain on it. Our children wanted to swim, but when we got to the pool it had a film over the water that grossed our kids out.

Property is worn. Patches on ceiling, carpet wet from a/c leak. Office chair stained. Dead bugs in room. Tub faucets wonky and cant get hot water in shower. Strong musty smell in rooms. This was not just one room but two.

The elevator was not working, which honestly was not a big deal. Then we discovered that our room’s deadbolt wouldn’t work so I requested a room change. Which we were granted. The room was not super clean but the beds were comfortable. The pool had a lock on it so I assumed it was closed. Later found out that you just had to ask to have lock opened? Not sure why. Also the hot tub appeared to be empty and had caution tape all around it.

Go next door instead

The door key would only work on about 10th try, even after getting new keys from the front desk. The wall AC unit was set to the lowest possible setting of 65 degrees and on HIGH, yet the room was probably 80 degrees, as the AC unit would kick in and shut off after running for about 2 minutes. The shower had old running stains on it that are probably beyond cleaning. This hotel is old, worn, not well maintained and not in touch with reality. La Quinta (newly built) and Hampton Inn next door are better options.

This property is not up to what I expect from Holiday Inn Express. The front desk staff worked really hard to help us with a couple of issues. The property looks fine from outside but inside needs attention. Damaged walls in the hallway and icky paint color. The pool was closed for maintenance, the exercise room had only one machine working properly and not much else to use. Breakfast was similar to what we had in Lubbock on our outbound trip but lacked some options, like oatmeal and pastries were ok but not as good. We could hear the people in the next room.
