"This is a lovely hotel - the building itself is full of character with plenty of space throuhgout. With free hot drinks and a vending machine for snacks, soft drinks and some alchoholic ones too, there is no need to rush out - but literaly within a stone's throw are 2 restaurants and 2 pubs - and for powerfully-armed cricketers - a couple of cafes. Our limited interactions with the staff found them all to be very helpful and friendly. A huge thank-you to all."

"Good overnight stay in Salisbury. Room wasn't quite ready when I arrived, but the staff looked after my bag, so I could take a walk around the city centre and visit the cathedral. My room was very comfortable and quiet, even with the heavy rain overnight. I had a lovely breakfast the following morning. The hotel is very convenient for sightseeing, as everything is within 15 minutes walk. Only downside is the small car park."

"Fantastic Stay with Incredible Views! โ€‹Amazing hotel with stunning scenery and convenient free parking on-site. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the air conditioning was a fantastic touch. โ€‹The river view room certainly didnโ€™t disappointโ€”we had an incredible direct view of both the river and the cathedral! โ€‹My only minor suggestions for improvement would be adding a small fridge in the room and providing a bit more counter/surface space in the bathroom for toiletries. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!"

"We loved staying in this 13th century inn. We were given a room in the original section of the inn - amazing wattle and daub walls, original timber work and wonky floors! The River Avon flows past the front of the Rose and Crown property. A beautiful settling and a privilege to be able to stay here! If you love history, this is the place to stay in Salisbury."
