"The lodge and all the workers were very respectful, helpful and attentive. They made our stay (7 nights) amazing. The Latchstring restaurant had wonderful and tasty food. We ate breakfast everyday and had several dinners and ate a variety of starters and entrees. All very delicious! There was a stream behind the lodge with lots of fish to either watch or catch and several cool trails with amazing sites. If visiting the Spearfish, Deadwood, etc area, then I highly recommend a stay."

"I booked this hotel because it wasn’t too terribly expensive and the pet fee was great. However, I wouldn’t say this hotel is really “pet friendly.” The pet area has no grass and is all dirt and right on top of a hill. Their pet policy says that you can’t leave the dogs at the hotel unless you are there which honestly defeats the purpose of being a pet friendly hotel.
