Given the cheap price for the weekday stay, I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Bed was comfy, room was quiet and breakfast was really good and also cheap. Great location in the heart of Deadwood.
The Historical Bullock Hotel was very well kept and maintained from the time it was re-renovated into a hotel again. Rumored to be haunted and there is a haunted hotel tour run by the most informative and pleasant man. Breakfast at Bully’s in the hotel was 10/10, best chicken fried steak we’ve ever had and the absolute best biscuits. The entire place is riddled with history and the staff are all so friendly and so helpful. If you’re considering visiting Deadwood, this hotel is a must.
The Bullock Hotel was great! We stayed in a 2 bed room and it was spacious and comfortable. It fit right in with the Deadwood atmosphere. Was hoping for some paranormal activity but if anything happened I definitely slept through it! I recommend the Bullock!
My husband and I stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon on the way to Yellowstone. This place is GORGEOUS! The staff were all very friendly, the bed was super comfortable and the history posted throughout the hotel was incredibly interesting. For those of you that love spooky stuff, this hotel is definitely haunted 👻
This property checked all the boxes. Excellent location. Restaurant had Excellent breakfast. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Free parking. Fantastic staff!!!
Our room was very spacious and was very clean. It is well maintained but keeps that old historical charm. The staff were all very nice and helpful. If you have the chance to take the ghost tour with Matt its well worth it. He is very knowledgeable about town history and very entertaining.
Great time in Deadwood and this hotel was perfect! Right on Main St with convenient parking, big room, and excellent restaurant. The history of the hotel was the best part!
The entire staff, from the doorman, the front desk clerks, the bartender, to the cleaning personnel was above the norm. Each encounter we had with hotel staff impressed us. We were treated kindly, respectfully, and with a smile every time. We will definitely be staying at the Historic Bullock Hotel on our next trip to Deadwood, SD.
Sorry, but this hotel could use a serious deep clean. The bathroom door was filthy, there was dirt and debris in the corners.
The room was nostalgic, and decorated accordingly, most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Great location, parking is kind of difficult
We stayed in room 213, which was down a very narrow hallway but was extremely quiet. The room was very large and had a small balcony. The room was laid out so that one person could be getting ready at the vanity while another could be getting ready in the very large bathroom. The beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, the woman cooking was a pro. Everything was cooked to perfection. The parking lot was very close and convenient.
Be aware that the price on Expedia will be less than you will be charged. There is an extra fee added at check-in for $5.
Check-out was good. The check-in needs some work.
Otherwise the Bullock remains a favorite of mine.
Nice historic hotel, it’s older so it’s not going to be updated. Not much lighting or outlets for devices because it’s keeping with the charm of an old west hotel. The breakfast was delicious. Location was right on the strip so everything was walking distance or accessible by the trolley. We loved our stay there. Front desk lady was so nice.
