"From the moment we arrived at Jaguar Reef we loved the resort. The rooms felt like our own little sanctuary. I loved the plunge pool and outdoor shower. So private and with so much space of our own. We never had a problem finding chairs at the beach or pool. Everything at the resort was very clean. The grounds were beautifully groomed. And the staff was amazing! Kayla made us feel so welcome and made sure our room was always taken care of. And Lucas and Martin took such good care of us at the bar. We appreciated how they always knew what we wanted. After walking into the village one day,and regretting every minute in the heat...we rented a a golf cart straight from Jaguar reef, which was super easy and convenient, thanks to Greg. We would definitely come again!"

"Mariposa was a peaceful retreat. We stayed in one of the tree houses and enjoyed reading on the deck in the hammock in the afternoon. The staff were friendly and did a great job making it feel like home for the week."

"Sargassum seaweed lines the beaches throughout the Carribean and this beach is no exception. Also, sand flies and mosquitoes were prevalent in this area, requiring nets over the bed to sleep at night. The property was nice, but very expensive. "

"The resort is building a new event center (metal construction), new pool bathrooms as well as remodeling rooms. All the constructions make it very unpleasant to stay around the pool and also the beach. The rooms that are not remodeled are very dated and overpriced! Due to the algae in the water it is not pleasant to swim in the water. The staff were friendly but not very competent! Avoid this resort if you want a quiet and peaceful vacation but even without the construction, we would not go back to this resort. "

"The resort is beautiful, everyone was very kind and very helpful. My only complaint is that I booked an ocean view room and they instead put me in a lagoon room. When I requested to have my room changed they said it would be an additional charge for an upgrade, although that is originally what I paid for was the ocean view room. "

Beach at your front door, palm and coconut trees line the beach and pools that lead the dock where one can relax jn a hamock or swinging chair fir couples. The restraunts food is amazing...reserve early."
